What To Expect
Pisa
Tower Piazza dei Miracoli, Piazza dei Cavalieri. Pisa is an Italian city in Tuscany known above all for the famous leaning tower. Already off axis when it was completed in 1372, the 56 m high white marble cylinder is nothing more than the bell tower of the marble Romanesque cathedral that stands nearby, in Piazza dei Miracoli. The same square hosts the monumental Camposanto and the Baptistery, where every day non-professional singers test themselves with its famous acoustics.
Florence
Piazzale Michelangelo (where you can admire all of Florence) Santa Croce church, Giotto's bell tower and Piazza della Repubblica, then continue on foot and visit the city center and Piazza della Signoria with the Uffizi museum. Florence, the capital of Tuscany, is home to many masterpieces of Renaissance art and architecture. One of the most famous places is the Duomo, the cathedral with a tiled dome designed by Brunelleschi and Giotto's bell tower. The Galleria dell'Accademia exhibits the sculpture of David by Michelangelo while in the Galleria degli Uffizi you can find The Birth of Venus by Botticelli and the Annunciation by Leonardo da Vinci. Note: The remaining time will be for the round trip.

5.00Francesco was wonderful! He had great communication before our pick up. Meeting him was easy and very convenient. We booked him for a full day to take our family from the cruise port of Livorno to Florence for the day. He was full of fascinating information about the region, made wonderful recommendations for lunch and shopping. It was cold and rainy but he was able to drop us off close to the things we wanted to see. He was flexible when we requested a change in our pick up location. His van was very clean and six adults fit very comfortably. I would whole heartedly recommend him for anyone needing a driver from the port of Livorno.

5.00Francesco is reliable, smart, safe and kind. His Mercedes van is comfortable and well cared for. He communicates well and has all sorts of interesting tidbits about every place we passed by. He picked us up right by our ship’s berth in Livorno. Touring Pisa & re-visiting Florence (off season) was a relaxing pleasure. His lunch suggestion in Florence was perfecto!

5.00Having a private tour from our ship The Scarlet Lady was seamless. We quickly saw the leaning tower of Pisa and zipped over to Florence. However, after my husband discussed the love of Chianti with Francesco we made a quick detour to a wine tasting at a local vineyard. Francesco’s love of country and patience was so greatly appreciated. Five stars all the way!

5.00Prompt response & attention from our driver & tour operator, Francesco. He was prompt to pick us up from the port & caring for my elderly mom when she need to get on & off the van. Francesco was very good in reminding us how long should we spend on each location. He explained each tourist attraction while he was driving. He has a permit to be able to park very close to the main attractions area and where the ship docked. He parked right next to the gangway which we used to get back on the ship. He has remi ed us s few times to be careful and protect our belongings from the pick pockets. He even showed me how one of them looked like which I would never have thought them being one of those criminals.

3.00I booked the excursion with the expectation of a guided walking tour in Florence. We were left on our own. without the tour, we felt the excursion was over priced for a driver only. He was very nice.
