From the impressive torch lighting ceremony that kicks off the evening’s festivities to the mesmerizing hula kahiko (ancient hula) dances performed under the direction of an award-winning kumu hula (hula master) Leilani Rivera Low, Luau Ka Hikina invites you to experience a memorable evening celebrating Hawaiian and Polynesian culture, complete with a locally sourced, traditional Hawaiian feast with a modern point of view and live music.

What To Expect
Luau Ka Hikina
Hele Mai (Welcome) Check in begins at 5:00pm with seating to begin at 5:30pm ( first come, first seated by hosts) Once you are show to your seats, you can enjoy cultural activities and local vendors prior to opening ceremony. Enjoy shared seating with an arrival lei greeting and Mai Tai/Fruit Punch welcoming drink. Hosted Open Bar is available until performance begins. Transportation is not included or provided.

5.00Great food (and lots of it!); open bar; lovely and fun interactive entertainment with the hula and Polynesian dancers; talented singer and musicians and an awesome location on the beach. Well worth the cost and an event any traveler to Hawaii should experience at least once in a lifetime!

3.00Bought this Luau to show my Husband a real Polynesian Luau but it lacked authenticity hence 3 Stars. And the lei was made of tiny shell Lei with ‘Made in Philippines’ tags still on them. The entertainment was great though.

3.00Although the food was very good, I was anticipating a pig to be roasted in the ground and to witness the unearthing. I wish we had been greeted with staff in Hawaiin dress/ shirt anything but a Steelers Jersey, kinda took away from the aesthetics. I did love how quaint and the sweet stories from the hostess and the host did a nice job of introducing acts and the history behind the dances. Unfortunately I have been to Luau in Lahaina and this did not compare.

5.00I can’t say enough about this experience! We stayed at the property associated with the luau so pricing and getting to the location were great! The MC, musical guests and dancers were amazing! There were activities before the show and dinner started. It was fun trying new things and watching everyone really get into the fun of it all. The buffet was absolutely worth it and had a wide variety of items…the kalua pork was fantastic!

5.00I went my first Luau in 1991. We were greeted with a flower lei and saw a demonstration of the preparation of a pig that was ultimately placed in the ground for cooking. Although not authentic, this Luau is as close to authentic as you will get. The venue is intimate which better connects to the audience. The food was good and the open bar(included in price) was awesome. I definitely recommend this excursion.
