This wine tour really isn’t something you can find just anywhere. From beginning to end, you are being taken so well care of and the tour is packed with history, respect and love for the area you get to visit. The guide, Ramón, is incredibly knowledgeable and considerate, willing to share stories and always has an answer for your questions. The name fits the bill, as the Rural Root tour lets you explore, ask and taste your way through Álora, with locally sourced ingredients and wanderings though magnificent sights few get to see when visiting Spain. - - - - Our group was incredibly happy with this tour, as the rest of the review probably reflects, but it should also be noted how anything could be adjusted for, such as pick-up time or adjustments for vegetarian and gluten-free options, like I recieved myself.

Ramón’s Rural Roots wine tour from Málaga to Álora was hands down one of the most memorable and meaningful experiences of our entire trip to Spain. This wasn’t just a wine tasting—it was a deep dive into the traditions, landscape, and soul of rural Andalusia, all guided by someone with genuine passion and heart. From the very beginning, Ramón made us feel more like guests than tourists. The drive to Álora was stunning, and he filled the time with stories about the region’s history, culture, and winemaking heritage. Once we arrived, we were welcomed into a beautiful, small-scale family-run vineyard where the owners treated us like old friends. We tasted incredible local wines—each with its own story—paired with delicious homemade tapas, all while overlooking breathtaking countryside views. It was intimate, relaxed, and completely authentic. No crowds, no rush—just real people sharing their craft and culture. Ramón has a rare gift for making you feel connected—to the land, the traditions, and the community. His respect for the people he works with and the stories he shares is evident in every detail of the tour. It was not only educational and delicious but also deeply moving. If you’re looking for a meaningful way to experience Andalusia, beyond the usual tourist path, book this tour. It’s more than a wine tasting—it’s a beautiful cultural encounter. Thank you, Ramón, for such a special day. We’ll never forget it!

We had a wonderful time. Ramon was great. It was a very nice tour of the history of the Alora and wine tasting. Their Cab blend and Syrah blends were both great. The food pairings were nice too. Explained a lot of the processes involved in making their wine. Ramon kept us intrigued and answered so many questions- including highly personal questions from my Girlfriend. So patient! Muchas Gracias Ramon

We were fortunate enough to have Ramon show us round the beautiful town of Alora, he was extremely knowledgeable about the area and his attention to detail was brilliant. We went with friends and were staying in a villa around an hour away but he still managed to cater for our needs, facilitating transport for us there and back. Not only this the wine tasting itself was great, we had 4 different wines with a selection of food and was a perfect ending to a really enjoyable day. Plus you get a tote bag and a straw hat to top it off 👏 Would highly recommend it to anyone who's thinking about doing something different whilst they stay in Málaga and Ramon was fantastic.
