Into the land of tangerines closer to the ancient city of Butrint we organize the Mandarina Tour, a truly individually guided experience with local farmers and local dishes.
Farmers will give us some basic information on how to collect the fruit, how to respect the processes involved and then take part in an age old tradition of picking the delicious fruit. After the wooden crates are full we'll stop and rest, in an idyllic spot where farmers will prepare a sumptuous lunch with traditional fayre: Famous homemade bread of Xarra, feta cheese, olives, orange juice, water. The taste of our land is on the table prepared with smiles. The head farmer will then address us with a talk all about tangerines, the history of our village, the productivity of the business and about his passion for the sun blessed fruit.

We will be at the territory of National Park of Butrint, we are too close to the ancient city of Butrint and the old aqueduct. Walking through the fields of tangerines for a couple of minutes, we will enter the plantation and see from close the mandarina trees, we will involve ourselves in the process of feeding and cleaning the trees. After that walking through plantation, we will sit under olive tree on top of the hill, and enjoy our picnic lunch with local ingredients and dishes. Sharing and laughing like locals do.

Was a rainy day, but our host was prepared and give us personal costume, so easy moved and worked during the light rain. We enjoyed the plantation a lot, picking process was easy and meditative. The family served us lunch of the farmer, delicous. During the lunch we enjoyed the incredible view and story telling by lead farmer. Keep it like that

Albania - Kasamil end of June 2023 camping tour. Campsites deficient, sanitary facilities like 30 years ago, beaches totally crowded not maintained, recovery value equals zero. The same applies to Durres , Himare. Delphi all coastal towns. environmental protection and Climate protection is a foreign word. Generally for campers and those seeking relaxation completely discourage.

It was a really nice experience 😍 we learned so much about the mandarin fruit, we were divided into several groups and started collecting mandarins and it was a lot of fun 🤩 then at lunchtime I ate delicious and traditional food cooked with love by the farmer's wife for example fig marmalades, cheese, sweet and salty pancakes my favorites, pasta in chicken casserole, etc. I recommend you all to try it and you will be satisfied 😊😊

Mandarinepicking in beautiful sunshine. This area you probably dont think of visiting as an ordinary tourist. The farmer told his story and we learned about the area and how to grow mandarines. His wife served us a delicious lunch in the middle of the fields with some vine. Assistance and translations in good english was offered when needed. All was nicely taken care of by Soraldo Nebo.

Our family of five joined the tour without any high expectations but I must admit that it was one the the highlights of our vacation! The visit to Konispol city was a nice trip in a very small, authentic local settlement. There isn't much to see in the city but the ride is very pitoresque and the panorama view from the stairs in the city centre is very beautiful and worth it. The mandarine picking tour was such a fun and memorable experience for us and the children! The hosts of the plantations were very forthcoming and provided a lot of informative details about types of mandarins, planting, growing, cropping, etc. After picking mandarins, we were rewarded with a great traditional lunch and kids prepared juice from the crop they picked. About Soraldo, it is hard to write just few words about such a nice tour guide. Unusual open minded person, knowledgeable about the local places and history, very devoted to the local heritage, respectful and polite towards foreigners. A very important element, very correct and fair. Always ready to go an extra mile and make adjustments to the programme/tour considering the needs of the group. We would highly recommend the use of his services and knowledge. Will certainly look forward to join the mussel tour next season.
