The mangrove forest is one of the most vital and astounding ecosystems in the world. Damas Island, located just 10 minutes from Manuel Antonio is currently one of the most important remaining mangroves in Costa Rica. Covering thousands of acres of protected forest, this amazing biodiversity is home to a large number of birds, reptiles, mammals and insects.

Our experienced guides will take you on an unforgettable boat tour through the channels of the mangrove forest, far away from civilization. You can discover an abundance of species native to the area such as white-faced monkeys, anteaters, boas, iguanas, birds and thousands of colorful crabs.

The BEST TOUR!!! Rodolfo as our tour guide was informative, hilarious, and extremely helpful. We saw so many different animals in the mangrove and learned so much from him and the captain. Super easy pickup and transportation process. The food included in the tour was amazing as well! Recommend bringing binoculars to make the experience even better but not needed!

DO THIS TOUR! We had Rodolfo and we had an amazing time! Guide was extremely knowledgeable and very kind. Super easy transportation, and wonderful meal included. Absolutely would do this again! Even got to see baby monkeys, and all types of birds!

Wonderful tour with Rodolfo! We saw lots of birds, capuchins, lizards, snakes, and of course the Mangrove Trees! Rodolfo was very knowledgeable and funny. Great afternoon on the water!

Rodolfo was an amazing guide! He was able to point out very minute details and wildlife and was very knowledgeable of the flora and fauna. We saw many snakes (venomous and not), birds, and monkeys. Well worth the cost of admission. Thank you Jade!
