Damas Island, located just 10 minutes from Manuel Antonio is currently one of the most important remaining mangroves in Costa Rica. Covering thousands of acres of protected forest, this amazing biodiversity is home to a large number of birds, reptiles, mammals and insects.

It is a very beautiful experience for nature lovers. The guide Kenneth and the driver Chicky were very kind, friendly and knowledgeable.

Saw so much wildlife; iguana, basilisk, crabs, sloth, caiman, white face monkey, fer de lance. Guide was great at letting everyone see and experience. Lunch at the soda was good as well.

This was a very nice boat tour. So relaxing and full of wildlife, including birds, snakes, sloths and lots of monkeys!!! Our guide was amazing and gave all boaters fresh coconuts that he opened with a machete!!! It was delicious. Wild, yet friendly monkeys jumped on our boat to partake in this delicious beverage, too!!!! They were so cute and so entertaining!! We had a blast on our boat tour. Afterwards, we were given vouchers for a free buffet dinner at a restaurant in town. What a great experience!!

We were very underwhelmed by this mangrove tour. It’s advertised mainly as a Monkey Mangrove Tour, but unfortunately, there wasn’t a single monkey in sight. Instead, we only saw crabs, some birds, plants, and one baby sloth. Given the hefty price, we expected to see at least one monkey, so we left feeling disappointed and a bit sad. In fact, we’ve seen more wildlife just outside our Airbnb than we did on this tour. Our tour guide was incredibly sweet and genuinely tried to make the best of the situation, but it couldn’t make up for the fact that we overpaid to essentially sit on a boat and miss out on the main attraction. We’ve been traveling around Costa Rica for the past two weeks, and out of all our excursions, this was by far the most disappointing. Overall would not recommend especially for the price , there’s better tour for less.

Rodolfo was so informative from the moment we were picked up at our hotel. Gave us lots of interesting info on the town and area on our ride to the boat dock. Boat tour through the mangroves was comfortable and packed with animal sightings - we saw raccoons, crabs, lizards, monkeys, birds, a snake and a baby crocodile. Lunch at a restaurant in Quepos was good. Would highly recommend this tour.
