If you're looking for a more intimate experience, we offer this excursion on a Private basis as well (you can choose Shared or Private when you book). Note that our hotel pickup and dropoff is Private for both the Shared and Private excursions.

What To Expect
Note: This trip is offered on both a Private and Shared basis. For the Shared option, your hotel transfers are still private. This excursion includes private pick-up and drop off from your hotel, B&B or apartment in a taxi or minibus. You will start your day with the experience of a lifetime, and one of the most popular activities in Mauritius, swimming with wild dolphins in their natural environment. Once you get on board the speedboat, the professional and qualified skippers will start by briefing you on the important aspects of the experience. You will then head to Tamarin Bay for the dolphin encounter. The skippers will accompany you in the water when it’s your turn to swim with the dolphins. You will enjoy 2.5 hours on the open sea viewing the dolphins and swimming with them. Depending on the amount of time left, you will then go to The Aquarium, a popular snorkeling and diving site with beautiful coral and tropical fish.

Perfect start in the day with dolphins and snorkeling

5.00There were many boats, but the captain was always careful not to stress the animals unnecessarily. On the way back, we even saw dolphins jumping and playing. The crew was super friendly and also provided us with information about the dlophins. We were then allowed to snorkel for 15 minutes in a nearby reef. The pick-up also worked very well.

5.00beautiful adventure , everything was perfect from the pick-up to the return, we could observe the dolphins many times. The crew was friendly and dedicated. Our taxi driver for the transfer is a very nice and professional person.

4.00Swimming with dolphins in freedom was an incredible experience. We were able to be very close to them—they were passing underneath, next to us—something really magical. The less positive part is that in that area, where dolphins come to rest, too many boats coincide (in our case 6 or 7), with between 5 and 10 people each entering the water at the same time, which can certainly be annoying for the animals. Bottom line: a unique experience, but one that should be organized more carefully so as not to invade the dolphins so much.

5.00Magical experience. Yes, dolphins are surrounded by several boats (but there are not a dozen either) and you can only approach them in the morning, in order to respect their rhythm of life. Then when you dive and you see dolphin families, mothers nursing their young... That's amazing. Never attempt to touch them. That being said, they leave whenever they want and there is no point in swimming to join them...

4.00It was wonderful to see dolphins in the wild but we were not offered any snorkelling equipment so unable to swim with them. The only passengers able to swim were those that had brought their own equipment, however we spotted a box of equipment at the back of the boat as we got off!

3.00Taxi transfer very good. Felt this was overpriced for the quality of experience. Too many boats and very disorganised. We did get to see dolphins from boat. Total experience about 1 1/2 hours.

5.00Very nice discovery! Amazing to see the free-ranging dolphins a few meters away from us! An impeccable organization: A driver picked us up from the hotel and was waiting for us after the activity to take us back. The 2 crew members of the boat were really nice and, very important: they were really respectful of dolphins (smooth approach...). I felt safe, too.
