1.00Dreadful company! Booked and paid for excursion through Alaska Shore Excursions in March 2025 for September. Advised to meet on the Broadwalk 12:45 for 13:15 transfer pick up. Nobody turnred up! Repeated attempts to telephone Alaska Shore Excursions and Tarquan Air failed until after around 30mins when we were able to get through to a department at Tarquan Air who advised that he tour had been cancelled due to weather conditions and we should have been advised by email - this turned out to be true as we had received an email that had been despatched at our pick-up time. In our disappointment we wandered through the shoreside tourist information centre and were fortunate enough to find and book an alternative Floatplane tour with Island Wings that were perfectly happy to fly in the mild conditions and we had a wonderful experience, with Adam our pilot being very knowledgeable about the Misty Fyords area over which we flew. At least we did get a refund from Alaska Shore Excursions.
Poor communication for cancellations

1.00This is some of the worst communication I've dealt with as far as an excursion. I originally booked an excursion for 8am where we were supposed to meet 10 minutes before at 750. I get a call at 743, 7 minutes before we're supposed to meet, that the tour was cancelled due to fog. Now I don't blame the company for the fog because that's completely out of their control. But contacting me 7 minutes before the tour starts is something that is completely in their control. But either way, Megan called and told me they could move me to the 945 one. Perfect. Fast forward. It's 945 and I’m at the meeting point. No one from the company is there and we were supposed to meet 10 minutes beforehand. In my mind I'm like it can't be cancelled because surely they would communicate that right? Nope. I had to call them just for them to say "Oh hold on, oh yea, that excursion was cancelled again" Again, I don't blame the company for the cancellation but communication to let me know this was absolutely horrible and I wasted a morning because of it. And at this point it was too late for me to book another excursion before my cruise ship left because I had spent so much time waiting for the company to communicate to me that the tour was cancelled.
This was an amazing trip....

5.00The trip was in a seaplane with about 8 or so passengers. You each get a window seat with good views. The pilot was very friendly and gave an excellent commentary pointing out places of interest below interspersed with relaxing music. The flight goes along the coast so you get excellent views of the terrain and amazing scenery. Something we would love to experience again. Would very highly recommend.
