Embárcate en un fascinante recorrido junto a nuestros guías naturalistas expertos mientras el sol se pone y el bosque cobra vida bajo la oscuridad. Esta es tu oportunidad de explorar los secretos del vibrante bosque de Santa Elena, un lugar mágico que pocos tienen la fortuna de descubrir durante la noche.
Todas las noches a las 6:00 p.m., durante aproximadamente dos horas, serás testigo de la increíble transformación que ocurre en una de las regiones más biodiversas del mundo. Con grupos pequeños de un máximo de 9 personas, garantizamos una experiencia íntima y personalizada para que disfrutes al máximo de la naturaleza nocturna.
Ofrecemos transporte dentro del área de Monteverde-Santa Elena, con recogidas desde las 5:30 p.m., dependiendo de la ubicación de tu hotel.
Recomendamos usar zapatos cerrados, pantalón largo, una chaqueta ligera y traer una cámara para capturar momentos inolvidables.

What To Expect
Ficus Trails
Discover the hidden treasures of the tropics’ most endangered habitat, the Cloud Forest. Only 2% of the world is a Cloud Forest. Join our Specialized Naturalist Guides in a Nature Quest. A journey that will take you into the Cloud Forest right after the sun sets in the horizon, and the darkness reveals the magical world few human eyes have ever witnessed. Every day at 6:00 p. m. and for approximately two hours you may experience the magical transformation that occurs within the heart of one of the most biodiversed forests in the world at Ficus Trails. At this time in the forest the protagonists are the animals that live in this habitat, where you can see some birds sleeping, as well as the nightlife of animals like some mammals that go out to eat at this time. Transportation, flashlights and Bilingual Naturalist Guides are always available. Closed shoes, light poncho, long pants, jacket and camera are highly recommended.

5.00This tour was so amazing. Mauricio was our guide and he did an awesome job. We saw such amazing and unique wildlife. He was very patient and answered all of our questions. He took the best pictures - he is a very talented photographer! He made the tour extra special and we appreciate his time!

3.00The Jungle Night Walk with Ficus Trails was a bit underwhelming overall, especially with the wet conditions making it less enjoyable. While sightings were limited (cause any smart creatures would get out of the rain 😉), we did see a viper and a red-eyed stream frog, which were definite highlights. Although our immediate group was small with one, knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide, there were many small groups on the trails at the same time making it feel crowded. An interesting experience, but not quite what we hoped for.

5.00Thank you to Mauricio for taking care of our family and ensuring our daughter didn't encounter the snakes she is so deathly terrified of! It is evident he cares deeply for his country and ecosystem. Rather than simply guide us, he taught us so much about the insects, birds, and animals we saw. He even helped us practice our Spanish.

4.00Great experience, we got to immerse ourselves in the nocturnal life. We were open to see whatever nature decided to offer us, and were rewarded with some pretty cool wildlife. We got to see a glass frog, tarantula, scorpion, Mexican porcupine and just as we were finishing up, our awesome and knowledgeable guide Mauricio spotted a Keel Billed Toucan perched up on a branch. I was not expecting that one for sure but a very welcome sight nonetheless.

5.00Wow, what a fantastic night tour!! Olman our guide was amazing, so knowledgeable and eyes like a hawk at spotting wildlife in the dark! We saw so many animals and insects, glass frog, tarantula, possum, armadillo and lots of other insects! Olman gave us all of their correct names and a little bit about them and how they live/what they eat. Would definitely make the time to take this tour, you don’t regret it, fantastic experience!!
