I thought there would be more to see at the castle but it is still cool to go in the cable car and walk around the grounds. My teens liked seeing the dungeons.

Loved the history we learned on this tour! Skip the line was nice, but not really necessary at this time of year. Couldn’t get audio to work on my phone, so I would suggest renting the audio guide there.

Tickets were for the last hour. Showed up and exhibits were closed and they were discouraging travelers without tickets saying they only had time to go up to the top level. No self tour details. Minimal experience for expensive prices. Only bathrooms available closed 20 minutes before closing.
This is just a fort, not a castle

This was 3 stars at best! I agree with many of the other reviews where I thought of this as a castle and not just a fort. There was not much to see within the fort, although i did get a great view of the city and ocean. Please make note that unless you are driving up the mountain you have essentially 2 other options, which is to walk up and down by foot or pay $17 euros an adult for a round trip on the sky tram right outside of the subway. This amount is not included in your ticket entry fee, in case you're wondering like I did. In addition, I had tickets for 6:30pm entry but got there around 4pm and was allowed in with no problem, so if you go early thats not going to be a problem. But to be honest, I didn't actually need to buy skip the line entry for this, as there was absolutely nobody in line at all when I got to the location. There was one line for those wanting to purchase in person and a second line for those that purchased online. Regardless, both were empty, we walked right in. I can't guarantee it is always like this, but it appeared to be so.

The audio tour isn’t included in the price hurts only 3 euros per person. Go early and there aren’t a lot of people there. The views are unmatched and the audio tour was great! We took a taxi up and cable cars down. Great experience- there is no gift shop there at this time
