Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime day trip to Montserrat from Barcelona.
Take in the panoramic views of the mountain as you ride our air-conditioned bus and discover the history of its monastery by the hand of our passionate guides. Enjoy free time to explore on your own.
You'll continue towards a boutique winery (only Tapas and Lunch options). The cellar is in a 10th century castle owned by the same family for 36 generations, with magnificent views of the mountain you just visited.
Savour traditional flavors with a light tapas brunch or a multi-course traditional lunch at the winery (depending on the option selected). Learn about the wine-making process, and enjoy a 3-wine-tasting session before traveling back to Barcelona.
Add-On: VIP Winery Experience - Upgrade your day with exclusive access to the winery's barrel cellar, usually closed to the public. Guided by an expert, taste 3 premium wines in an intimate setting, including samples drawn directly from barrels and foudres.

Tours start at 8:30 a.m. Please arrive 20 minutes before the start time because check-in is required at our office before proceeding to the buses area.
Groups are limited to 20 people per guide, though in rare cases may increase to 22. Transportation is shared with other groups.
The tour is conducted in English.
Comfortable clothes and walking shoes are recommended. Montserrat and the winery may have more extreme temperatures than Barcelona—check the forecast and dress accordingly. Bring water, especially in summer.
The tour is not wheelchair accessible, but service animals are allowed. For reduced mobility, contact us before booking to discuss arrangements.
Infants (3 years or younger) join free of charge but are not provided with car seats or meals.
Dietary restrictions or allergies are accommodated without advance notice.
We often work with boutique, family-owned wineries. Due to logistics, the winery may vary from Oller del Mas.
Tour timings are approximate and may vary due to traffic, weather, or unforeseen events. We recommend avoiding scheduling other activities immediately after the tour to allow for potential delays.

Then, enjoy free time to explore on your own. You'll continue towards a beautiful boutique winery, and you are in for a treat! The cellar also happens to be a 10th century castle owned by the same family for 36 generations with magnificent views of the mountain you just visited. Discover their revival of ancient local grape varieties, which provide a unique glimpse into the region’s rich heritage. Savour traditional flavors with a light tapas brunch or enjoy a multi-course traditional lunch at the winery (depending on the option selected). After that, learn about the wine-making process, and enjoy a wine-tasting session before traveling back to Barcelona.
Abadia de Montserrat
Upon arrival, your guided tour consists of an extended visit throughout the Basilica and Monastery, with free time to explore the site on your own afterwards. There are many activities to choose from – you may want to see the Black Madonna, visit the Museum, make your way to the Holy Cave, ride a funicular to the top of the mountain, or shop at the farmer’s market. At the end of the visit you'll have the chance to attend a performance by l’Escolania de Montserrat, the oldest Boys’ Choir in Europe.

5.00Vince from Castle experience is great. Efficient and funny. He is passionate and considerate to every member of the group, but both you and the elderly. You are Also knowledgeable and ha a lot of stories to tell for the sightseeing part. MONTSARRAT is also a wonderful place to visit.

5.00Mont Serat was as impressive, as Macchu Pichu and the Vatican. Stunning views and the question, "how did they manage to build that?" I'm not particularly religious, but still felt something of awe and peace. The winery we visited after, was equally with a visit. The history of the estate alone, having been in the same family for centuries! If you are in Barcelona, this tour should be on your must do list

5.00Really nicely organized tour. Guide Ale was a very courteous, knowledge, and well-humored guide to Montserrat and the winery. Really enjoyed the tour - other than the fact I would have liked way more time in Montserrat! As with all good guided tours, it has given me ideas of how to explore the countryside next time I am lucky enough to visit Catalunya.

5.00We had a great day. Monserrat Monastery is an incredibly beautiful peaceful place. We were introduced to the history of Catalunya and the monastery and we had plenty of time there to see everything in peace. Carla was our tour guide and she and her team made the day unforgettable for us. It was a very family atmosphere within our group and we liked that a lot. Carla also told us a lot about vineyards and the wines of Catalunya and we had a delicious lunch followed by a wine tasting at a winery to taste eggy Catalan wines. It was simply an all-round brilliant day, which Carla made unforgettable for us with her warm and open nature. Gracis Carla🫶

5.00We had a fantastic experience on the tour of Montserrat and the Winery. Yerai was a fantastic guide who offered not only great narration but detailed insights as well. We went to the Basilica on a day with a large mass, and he modified the tour to ensure we were able to see everything and still pop inside quickly after the mass to see the church and the Madonna. His wine tasting knowledge was equally exceptional and catered to the tastes of our group. The tour itself was amazing. From the sweeping and breathtaking taking views of and from Montserrat to the history of an ancient castle winery, it was a wonderful way to see the country outside of Barcelona. We would highly recommend this tour and Yerai as well.
