Start this tour directly from your hotel or apartment in Barcelona city. We come to pick you up, so please be sure to let us know exactly where you are staying. Enjoy an overview of Barcelona city along the route, pass by Catalunya Square, Barcelona Cathedral, Passeig de Gracia and the Gaudi Houses, such as the Batllo and the Pedrera, and many other highlights.

Get on the road and head to the mystic mountain of Montserrat. This natural park, with its very peculiar peaks, protects the spiritual essence of Catalonia. For almost 1,000 years, a Benedictine community has lived in these mountains located 60 km away from Barcelona. On the way, listen to some interesting stories about Catalonia and its bounding to the holy mountain, scene of pilgrims since ancient times and part of the route to Santiago de Compostela. Your guide will share important information to understand the heritage you will discover during the tour.

Truly a great day with Vincent and Joaquin learning about the history of Monserrat and exploring the area. We spent time over lunch with the locals and visited a local winery. Vincent added history and took us to an amazing local restaurant that was owned by a beautiful family who feed us with great food and love! Go and steep in the majestic beauty and great food!

Vincent, our tour guide, was outstanding! He was so charming and very informative of what we were experiencing. The sites were incredible!! Our lunch was delicious in a lovely village restaurant. We then traveled to a beautiful vineyard for a great tour and wine tasting! It was an absolutely great day! Our driver, Joachim, was so professional especially driving through the very foggy weather in the mountains!! He was so kind and friendly.

The hotel pick up was a wonderful convenience. Liana was a wonderful guide and put some effort into accommodating English and Spanish speaking people. She has put a lot of thought into the tour and her commentary. The winery was the highlight and really had some amazing petnats and biodynamic wines.

Wonderful day out with Vincent and Joaquin. Safe and efficient driving by Joaquin up the winding steep road to Montserrat. Vincent was very knowledgeable and gave a good account of the history of this 1000 year old Monastery as we took a guided tour of the Complex. In spite of the cloudy weather - the cloud covering made it feel mystical (and heavenly)! We then went to a family owned winery called Vins El Cep. Learnt about cava and wine production, as well looked around the vineyards. Alba, guided was throughout the wine tasting - letting us taste 2 wines and a cava. These wines are organic and biodynamic viticulture. Different and interesting concepts. In all, the day was made special by Vincent, who ensured that we were well looked after, well fed and well informed. A day to remember and highly recommended!
