Have an amazing small group adventure on this full day sunrise trekking tour of Mount Batur. Your entire trek will be around 3 hours. You will trek to the summit of Mount Batur where you will watch a magnificent sunrise while eating breakfast with excellent views of Lake Batur and Mount Rinjani. You will then have an exciting walk around the crater.

What To Expect
At 3:30am you will arrive at your starting point of Toya Bungkah Village where you will meet your professional experienced trekking guide. It will take around 1.5 - 2 hours to reach the summit of Mount Batur (1717 metres) above sea level. The climb is quite steep, but you will forget all the required effort when you will see the sunrise at 6am. While eating breakfast, you will catch amazing sights and see the beautiful colours of the sunrise while overlooking the majestic view of Lake Batur and Mount Rinjani. You have a stunning view of every angle you see it. After the sunrise, your guide will offer you the option to go back down or to do an additional walk around the crater and lava. Visit the raw, least visited part of Mount Batur and learn about lava flows and ash cones with your guide. You may also see some monkeys on your trek back down. You will be arrive back at Toya Bungkah Village at around 9am. You will then be driven to a Balinese Coffee Plantation where you will stop around 11:30am. You will arrive back to your accommodation at 1:30pm.

5.00We had a fantastic driver (Yanika) who was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, picked up from directly outside our accommodation in Ubud. The trek itself was amazing, our guide Jerry made sure we got up the mountain safely and provided breakfast at the top. On the way back we stopped at the coffee plantation and sampled some great coffees and teas. Ekka our host was very kind. Thank you to all for a fun packed morning.

5.00The sunrise trekking tour of Mount Batur was one of our most memorable experiences during our honeymoon! Ari was our trekking guide and he was awesome. It was definitely a difficult hike for us inexperienced hikers, but Ari was very confident and made us feel like we were doing great! Water, a simple but delicious breakfast at the top of the mountain, and flashlights are included in the tour, but I would bring a walking stick it's quite steep at times and a blanket it got very cold at the top of the mountain. The 1:45am wake up call and 2 hour pitch black hike were more than worth the beautiful sunrise that we got to witness. We were apprehensive about the Luwak Coffee Plantation stop on the way back, because in all honesty we were EXHAUSTED after the trek, but we are so glad that our driver insisted. The plantation has a beautiful view and the free tasting of 14 different teas and coffees was delicious! Add this to your list and request Ari!

5.00This was an amazing tour! We were picked up right on time with a very clean and near new car and driven for 2 hours to start our trek. Our local guide met my father and I as soon as we arrived. He was very knowledgeable and even though we climbed the difficult way up the mountain we felt very safe. My father is 67 and the guide was very patient with stopping for him to collect his breath. Views were incredible and I highly recommend this!
