Mt. Marathon
Climb up the steep but rewarding Mount Marathon Jeep Trail to emerge into a bowl immersed in lush greenery and steep peaks. While challenging, you will earn an outstanding view of Seward and Resurrection Bay. Along the hike, learn the history of the famous Mount Marathon Race (one of the oldest races in the U.S.!), the history of the town of Seward and information on the animals and plants you may spot along the way.

5.00Excellent hike up to Mount Marathon - my top adventure in Alaska. Dylan is a skilled guide and very knowledgable. It was so great to get out of the car and into the wild beauty of the mountainous Alaska coast to not only see it but to smell it, touch it, and feel it under your feet. This made me happy.
