Our company will take you on a tour of the most popular parts of the island and within a few hours you will have gotten to know our beautiful island! Our drivers and guides are locals and know every corner of the island as well as its great history! In this tour we will visit the temple of Dimitra which was built in 530 BC an old pottery in the village of Damala which still makes traditional pottery and then we will visit the three most beautiful and famous villages of Naxos! Halki which was the old center of Naxos, Filoti which is the largest village and Apeiranthos the traditional village made of stone and marble!

Temple of Demeter
Archaelogical place,The Temple of Demeter in Naxos: Near the village of Sangri, 10 km from Naxos Town, lies the sacred temple of Demeter. This magnificent temple has been made exclusively of the finest quality Naxos marble and dates back to the 6th century BC. As Demeter was the Olympian goddess of agriculture, harvest, and fertility, people built temples dedicated to her on fertile lands, such as that of Sangri.

5.00This was a great way to see the diversity of Naxos. We visited some beautiful villages, viewed some ancient traditions ( pottery, distillery & Olive press), and had a delicious lunch. Our guide Manolis was fantastic and was very adaptable as the day commenced with torrential rain which required a quick adjustment to our itinerary. Also, as he was a local, he was very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this tour.

5.00We covered so much in this customized private 5 hour tour. Our driver, Mario was knowledgeable, sweet and polite. He grew up on Naxos and knew so much about each place and its history. And so enthusiastic and proud. He took us to Demeter, a 4 generation pottery place, and the villages of chaliki, filoti and aperanthos. I may have mispelled them. We went through the mountainous interior of the island. It is worth a look to see the island in addition to the coast.

5.00If you want to get to know the history, culture and soul of Naxos, this tour is for you! Our guide, Aldo, was great in pointing out the sites and hidden features in and around the villages that make Naxos unique. We learned a lot and gained a real appreciation for the history, culture and people of the island. The Kitron distillery tour and tasting was also a real treat! Highly recommend for those that want something more than beach time.

5.00This was a wonderful tour of inland Naxos! We started at the Temple of Demeter and then visited a generational pottery workshop. Afterwards, we stopped in three very unique Naxos villages, including one where our tour guide grew up and still lives! That added a very personal touch to the tour.

5.00We had a wonderful time seeing the local areas of Naxos. Our driver’s name was Mario and we would recommend him to anyone considering this excursion. He took us to the local pottery store and villages. We got to go olive oil tasting and see some of the oldest churches in Europe. This was one of the best excursions we have went on and hope to come back on day. Roll Tide
