A great way to experience and learn about Palermo by night. Our guide Alessandra was excellent - informative, playful, patient and guiding. We got to taste some classic Palermo street food (note - if you’re after fine dining this is not the tour for you … but if you want to get away from the tourist hotspots and mingle with the locals, this is the tour for you). Bring your appetite!!

I signed us up for the Night Street Food Tour with a local expert on October 29, 2025 (6:30 PM – 9:30 PM), and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Palermo. From the very start at Teatro Massimo, Alessandro made the group feel welcome and excited. He was easy to spot with his red umbrella and Streaty bag between the two bronze lions, and his warm, lively and comical personality set the tone for the evening. The walk through Palermo’s lively streets was not just about food—it was a cultural journey. Alessandro shared fascinating stories about Sicilian traditions, history, and the local way of life, all while guiding us to hidden gems we never would have found on our own. The food itself was plentiful—definitely a full meal! Arancina - fresh and perfectly crispy on the outside and rich inside. I suggest you order this right after it was fried so that it is fresh. A variety of street food bites that gave us a real taste of Palermo’s culinary soul. And of course, the Sicilan drinks (wine and beer) in La Vuccheria. Gelato at LaKala (near the port) that ended the night on a sweet note. The tour ended at Piazza Fonderia, right in the heart of downtown near the port, which was a perfect spot to continue exploring or simply relax after such a flavorful evening. What stood out most was Alessandro himself—knowledgeable, passionate, and genuinely fun to be around. He made the experience feel less like a tour and more like being shown around by a local friend who knows all the best spots. We definitely left with a full stomach, a deeper appreciation (except for spleen sandwich sorry Alessandro, lol) and understanding for Sicilian street food. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience Palermo through its food and culture!

This was my first food tour ever. Alessandro was an outstanding tour guide in Palermo: a perfect balance between knowledgeable and fun with the ability to make all the people on the group bond. The food venues he picked were well thought out and very different.

Thank you Dario for a very enthusiastic night time street food tour. We liked the little stories along the way highlighting Sicilys amazing history. Really loved the little bar for the focaccia and the arancini stop. Both places I would never have considered. Glad we tried the spleen sandwich! He was really good at making sure we all had enough to go around. I would have liked to have tried a few different wines though - maybe next time! Our stomachs were nicely full!
