It was a hands on cooking class lead by an excellent chef/teacher. Everyone in the class were engaged and from what I could tell had an excellent experience.

Despite only having two days in Palermo, we chose the full morning cooking class and do not regret it one bit! Marcello was amazing, full of information not just about the delicious food we prepared but about the market, the city and Sicily and Italy. We felt like we made a new friend. Not to mention the food was amazing and the kitchen was perfect. Highly recommended!!!

The whole experience was great fun. Marcello was very organized ensuring there was no down time waiting for something to cook. Both chefs, Marcello and Salvo, were personable and enthusiastic about their crafts. The kitchen was set up well with large marble counters, perfect for making and enjoying our pasta, cannollo, ragout, and arancini. As our sauces simmered, we toured a nearby open air market and sampled street food. I will definitely check out Towns of Italy's other options next time I am here. Highly recommend!

What a fantastic first day in Palermo. Our chef, I believe his name was Marcello, was great. He made the class fun and informative. He was very organized and made learning easy. I also enjoyed our walk throuh the market where he explained what some of the foods were and even gave us a taste of a few of his favorites.
