Walking in the Steps of My Grandfather

I booked this excursion mainly to visit Castelbuono, the home town of my Grandfather. Cristian greeted us at our hotel and we sat comfortably in his van for the next hour and a half as he narrated our trek into the Madonie Mountains. The visit exceeded our expectations as we stepped back in time and visited attractions of note including the castle, and its chapel. Cristian's knowledge of the area and his familiarity with the townsfolk had us at ease as we learned while we saw. A walk through the streets of town and shopping at Fiasconaro completed our time in Castelbuono. On the return trip, Cristian made a stop in Cefalu and allowed us a couple hours to meander through the many streets of shops and visit the Duomo. Lunch by the seaside completed an amazing day. We highly recommend this excursion.

We had a fantastic trip to this area in a very comfortable, clean car. Umberto was kind, knowledgeable and friendly. This trip had it all and gave a special view of this part of Sicily. Completely recommend.

My husband and I went on this trip to explore Cefalù and Castelbuono on our first trip to Sicily. We booked the trip because I’ve always wanted to explore Cefalù but on this trip we only had a little bit of time. It is even more stunning in person than in pictures. The real treasure was our driver and guide, Umberto, though. He was so nice and knowledgeable. We would not have had the same experience without him. Would recommend this to anyone.

We spent the day with Umberto and he was wonderful. He was highly knowledgeable and accommodating to our needs. Loved Castlebuono and Cefalu, made all the better by Umberto.
