If the Ine Cruise Ship is closed due to bad weather, we will ride the Amanohashidate Ship instead.

4.00I will start by saying this is a lovely long 10 hour day trip. The scenery was beautiful. What definitely spoilt the trip was the fact we booked an English/Chinese speaking tour. The guide apologised for not being able to speak English. We felt it was a long day without any commentary we could understand. The guide read a few sentences in English here and there but she couldn’t answer questions including how to serve the pork suba suba lunch.

3.00The overall impressions of the sites are solid but delivery was lacking. There is a lot of driving involved with this tour, so be ready to sit in a bus for about 5 hours total. I for one enjoyed getting to see a more rural, greener side of Japan so it did not bother me. The bus is comfortable. Our guide was a likeable fellow and very approachable. However, he left us with the impression he was pretty new at this gig as he provided very little commentary on what we were seeing. The views were great but time was cut short to fully enjoy. On our way, one of the excursions was cancelled so our guide had to improvise which led to lots of walking but not much interpretation. The included lunch was average at best, though I did appreciate the opportunity to sample some different Japanese dishes.
To ventilate your mind in the middle of nature.
