What a great way to experience the kitchen of Japan - Osaka. Our guide Terumi was wonderful. She started in the heart of Osaka at the Tenmangu shrine and led us through the streets and underground spots we would never find on our own. She shared her love for Osaka and its food with us. Thank you so much! It was great!

Terumi was fantastic and very knowledgeable! The food was amazing and had a good variety. There was just enough walking in between stops to give you time to digest. I would definitely suggest this tour to anyone visiting Osaka.

Our food tour in Osaka was an unforgettable culinary journey, made even more special as it turned into a private experience! Our guide, Terumi, was wonderful—incredibly friendly, spoke excellent English, and ensured we felt well taken care of throughout the entire tour, especially with our upgraded drinks package. We absolutely loved all the food! The Delicious Stops We kicked off our gastronomic adventure with a fantastic start, enjoying delicious and perfectly crispy croquettes. After this savory treat, we visited the serene Osaka Tenmangu Shrine, a beautiful cultural interlude. Our culinary exploration continued with tender and savory skewered eel—a wonderful Japanese delicacy. Next, we savored a quintessential Osaka dish, indulging in perfectly prepared Okonomiyaki (savory pancakes). The sweet treats followed, where we enjoyed delightful Taiyaki (red snapper-shaped waffles), a fun and tasty snack. We then enjoyed a comforting bowl of authentic udon noodles. For a moment of refreshment, we stopped at a charming tea shop to sample some exquisite Japanese tea. This was followed by a visit to the bustling Tenma Market, where we experienced the vibrant atmosphere and saw a huge variety of fresh local produce and ingredients. Moving back to main dishes, we visited a spot for straw-grilled fish, which had an incredible smoky aroma and flavor. No Osaka food tour is complete without Takoyaki, and the octopus balls we tried were a hot, savory highlight. We concluded our delicious tour with popular deep-fried skewers. Final Thoughts The entire tour was a celebration of Osaka's local cuisine, and the variety and quality of the food were exceptional. What an outstanding food tour in Osaka with our guide Terumi. She was such a great guide and showed us the real Osaka food experience. We enjoyed udon noodles, custard filled waffles, matcha tea, okonomiyaki, straw smoked fish, and takoyaki. Terumi was so happy to show off her local expertise and very experienced in her guide. Great English too.

Such a wonderful tour with Terry. We went at a really lovely pace and took our time. The first stop was closed the day we went as there was a ceremony happening. Terry accommodated immediately, providing us with a delicious substitute and making sure we still had Udon noodles on the tour! It was such a lovely time and we were so full afterwards!! Make sure you come on empty stomaches! The little hole in the wall for the octopus was a real gem!!

Our food tour exceeded expectations! We were so full from all the selections and we even missed a couple stops because of the holiday. Terry gave us an in-depth description of the foods we had-it was a very hot and muggy day but she was extremely patient and answered our questions. She even gave a few suggestions for other foods and area for shopping. Our favorite was the straw grilled fish!👍

Osaka is known as Japan's kitchen, so it makes sense to do this tour. I was fortunate enough the have Terumi as my guide, and she was simply marvelous. I implore anybody visiting Osaka to choose this tour, especially if you are only here for one day. Dōmo arigatōgozaimasu Terumi.
