This cooking class and market tour are our most popular offering. Together, the tour and the class take approximately four hours. The tour starts with accompanying our chefs to the world famous La Boqueria market, located nearby. During this 'behind the scenes' guided tour, you will meet many vendors, some of whom have been there for generations. You will learn about locally grown products and participate in the selection of ingredients that will be used later in the cooking class. Upon returning to our kitchen, you will begin preparing the four course menu. All our classes are designed for every skill level and are taught by professionally trained bilingual chefs. The classes provide a fun, social, hands-on experience, where you will be participating in the preparation of the various dishes under the thoughtful guidance of our chef instructors. Unlimited wines are included. All our menus can be adapted to accommodate any food restriction you may have, vegan included.

Welcome to Barcelona Cooking where you are the chef! We offer hands-on recreational cooking classes overviewing Las Ramblas that are relaxed, authentic, fun, educational, and social. In our classes you will learn how to prepare authentic Spanish dishes like paella, tapas, soups, desserts, and more, all while meeting new friends from around the world. The classes are designed for cooks of all levels; beginners to professionals. A great activity for singles, couples, groups, or families! One thing is for sure: we are certain that spending time with us here at Barcelona Cooking will be one of the highlights of your trip!

5.00Juan was an exceptional chef. The food was mythical. I really enjoyed the tour of the market and the history, however the highlight of the trip was the food. I was in charge of the crema Catalonia, which was creamy and perfect. The gazpacho was something I've never made and was perfectly balanced in flavors. We had a wonderful seafood paella and a potatoes dish too. Worth every penny and the highlight of my visit to Barcelona.

5.00This experience was one of the best of my trip! I had so much fun meeting new people and cooking with them. Juan, our instructor, was incredibly knowledgeable and so friendly; he put everyone at ease and set an open, fun tone for the evening. I was also impressed at how well he interacted with the kids in the group. I can’t say enough great things about this experience!

5.00Juan was our chef and took us for a fun and informative shopping trip in the market. We then were all given jobs and instruction and wine and got started. He was very methodical and organized and we all learned some things and made friends and lots of beautiful delicious food!
