We will follow the cheese production process, side by side with the expert master cheesemaker. We will see the master cheesemaker’s deft movements during the breaking of the curd and the delicate cooking phase during which the heat is skillfully controlled to expel water from the granules. We will discover ancient tools and modern materials, method and passion, a magical combination that leads to the creation of Parmigiano Reggiano every morning. At the end of this experience, Parmigiano Reggiano taste will always bring back memories of the passion and the marvels encountered along the way. We will discover the secrets of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar, one of the hidden and still little-known jewels of Reggio Emilia and Modena. Hotel pick-up and drop-off is included in the "Price including transportation" option. Pick-up and drop-off is intended within a radius of 15 kilometres of the city centre (Piazza Garibaldi in Parma). If your location is not among the pick up points listed, contact us to receive a customized quote for the extra transportation service. When travelers select the "Self-Drive Price" option, we'll see them at the Departure Point, they must provide their own transport and follow the guide in a separate car.

What a great experience to be right there while the cheese is being made. We learned about and saw the whole process start to finish. The balsamic tasting was so good. It was a great experience to be welcomed into the home of an award winning maker to see the process. Unforgettable tour with Roberta.

Michelle is an expert in the art of teaching about the heart of Emilia Romagna. Her knowledge of the history, process and flavors of Parmigiano Reggiano and Aceto is enormous. Even greater is her passion for what she does. This is evident at every moment of the tour, which was one of the best we have ever done. Highly recommended!

We cannot recommend Michelle enough as a tour guide! She was absolutely amazing—her passion, knowledge, and generosity made our tour of the Parmigiano Reggiano production and balsamic vinegar truly unforgettable. Michelle brought every step of the process to life, explaining everything in such an engaging way that we left not only with a greater appreciation for these incredible products but also with a deeper connection to the tradition and craftsmanship behind them. Her warmth and hospitality made us feel like family. This was easily one of the highlights of our trip, thanks to Michelle. Very fun and informative experience. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Would highly recommend to others as a must-do if you are in the Parma area. If you select the “self-drive” option, be sure to have your own vehicle and not just a taxi drop off as you will need to be driving to more than one location during the duration of the tour.
