Today, the driver will pick up at 7:30 am from your hotel in the city (other departure times on request) and travel to Siem Reap with a private transfer and this journey will take approx. 5 to 6 hours’ drive through 2 provinces are Kampong Thom and Kampong Cham on a 314 km distance including stops on the way for refreshing and taking photos (depends on your request). Arrive Siem Reap in the afternoon and drop off at your hotel in the city. Enjoy your stay in Siem Reap!

5.00We rode from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. The drive was relaxing, the van was one of the most comfortable vehicles we have been in and our driver was safe and accommodating. We stopped for bathroom breaks, lunch and a few sightseeing stops we requested. I highly recommend!

5.00Our driver arrived in very good time. The car was in good order. He drove smoothly and responsibly but making good progress to our destination. At our request we missed the spider sanctuary, but enjoyed a good lunch by a lake and visited the old bridge. We had some good conversations in English with the driver. Along the way we were able to take in more of Cambodian life along the roadside.

However, our internal flight didn’t align as expected and, therefore, opted for a road transfer—and we’re so glad we did. We met Rous at the Phnom Penh airport and hired him for the 5-hour drive to our hotel, Shinta Mani, in Siem Reap. His rate was US$160, significantly more reasonable than the $250 quoted by our hotel. 5.00In August 2025, my family of four booked private transport from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. Our driver for the journey was Mr. Cake—an outstanding guide and a truly remarkable individual. He was deeply knowledgeable about Cambodian history and culture and easily answered every one of our questions. We genuinely enjoyed our conversations throughout the drive. Mr. Cake was also incredibly thoughtful and accommodating. When we asked for clean restroom stops, he ensured we had access to spotless facilities. When we wanted to experience authentic Cambodian local dining, he took us to a charming spot with bamboo huts for shade. The meal was delicious, genuine, and a fraction of the cost of a fancy restaurant. Thanks to his hospitality and insight, the long drive became one of the highlights of our trip.
