WELCOME to the most charming and colorful tour of Colombia: the TOUR TO GUATAPÉ! Unlike massive tours with a guide for 40 people, you will ride a shared bus, but each guide accompanies a MAXIMUM GROUP of 18 people to ensure a closer experience at an affordable price.
We start with a DELICIOUS BREAKFAST. Then, we will visit the PEÑOL PEOPLE and its FAMOUS REPLICA.
Wait for the best to come! The PEÑOL STONE challenges you with its 700 steps. Do you dare to go up and enjoy a 360o view? You can!
After the TYPICAL LUNCH, we will take a relaxing LUXURY BOAT RIDE to contemplate incredible landscapes and properties.
Later, we will visit the town of Guatapé with our guide : CALLE DE LAS SOMBRILLAS, PLAZA DE LOS ZÓCALOS, CALLE DEL RECUERDO and PARQUE CENTRAL, and you will have time to travel at your own pace.
Finally, we will interact with adorable animals such as llamas

The itinerary may be modified according to weather conditions, traffic, and crowds in each stop.
It is advisable to bring 30,000 COP in cash if you want to climb the rock, as they only accept this form of payment.
Transportation may be shared with another group.
Groups per guide are limited to a maximum of 18 people.
Waiting time at the meetup points is 10 minutes maximum, if you arrive later we will continue, respecting others time

We will meet at the agreed time with the guide in Parque del Poblado to begin this exciting adventure to the famous town of zócalos: Guatapé!
Marinilla
To start the day with the best energy, we will take a short break along the way to enjoy a rich traditional breakfast.

Menu: soup of the day and main course: rice, salad, yuca, and choice of protein (chicken, chorizo, pork belly, pork, or ground beef). Beverage: juice. Vegan and vegetarian menu available.
Menu: Corn arepa, soft cheese, and eggs of your choice: scrambled, with seasonings, with sausage, or with ham. To drink: coffee, hot chocolate, or juice of the day. Vegan and vegetarian options are also available.

Be careful of GIGI tours

2.00Gigi tours arranged to pick us up at our hotel but they changed the pickup the night before to another location. We waited at the other location for an hour and the bus never came. Be aware that GIGI does not pick up or drop off at hotels even though they tell you they do on the website. Don’t go through what we did. Even though they drove us finally to catch up to the bus and gave us a 25% discount, the stress made the trip pretty bad. BE CAREFUL with them

2.00More time on the bus in traffic than sightseeing. Everything about the tour was chaotic. Our confirmation said a start time of 8:30am. We were waiting in the lobby of our hotel at 7:30 on, and the bus came to get us at 7:45. No one came in to get us. Eventually a car came and got us , along with others , and we met up with the bus. The breakfast was less than fair, but edible. It took forever for the servers to figure out who ordered what. At the Rock, we did not have near enough time. It was extremely crowded going up the stairs. We were a little late getting back to the bus, as was most everyone else. Three guests were left behind. The lunch experience was similar to the breakfast. The food was a 3 out of 10. The service was so bad that our tour guides were having to do most of the serving. The last stop to see the animals was 20 minutes, and not much to see. The animals were stuffed into small pens. There were horses, mules, goats, and llamas. The 20 or so llamas were all in one small pen. There was no room for them to even walk around. We have traveled extensively, and taken many tours. Unfortunately, this tour is at the bottom of our list.

5.00Best experience I had traveling solo. Two meals provided, great tour and history of the cities and landmarks we past and visited, good free time to wander around, and if you can muster the energy up the stairs at Gautapé - it’s a must!

4.00Well organised activity. The guide was knowledgeable about the history of the area and knew how to get us on time and without stress to the different places. It is a very touristic activity and it can be heavy with people however we didn't feel it too much because our guide adjusted our arrival time in order to get there with less people. The Piedra of Guatape is really super nice with a beautiful view on the top! Definetely worth climbing the + 700 stairs!
