Looking for a full-day escape from the city? You've found the perfect tour! Start with a dive into Barcelona’s history before heading to the stunning Montserrat Mountain. Explore the Abbey and Basilica with one of our expert, local guides, sharing the rich history passed down by the monks.
We keep our groups small for a more personal experience. Enjoy guided walks and free time to explore at your own pace, from a hike to St. Michael’s Cross to a Boy's Choir performance. (Check Montserrat’s website for activity availability.)
Next, we’ll visit a family-owned Catalan castle-winery, dating back to 964AD! Here, you’ll tour the estate, enjoy a multi-course regional meal, and taste three local wines, all produced sustainably.
Not sure which option to choose? Just decide whether you prefer 2.5 hours of free time in Montserrat (8:30 am departure) or a bit of extra sleep with a scenic ride on the Cogwheel Train (9:45 am departure). Both options are perfect!

We had a lovely day out in Montserrat with Thais. We booked the guided tour + train ride + lunch + wine tasting. It was a full day excursion and we got back to Barcelona at 7pm. The time in Montserrat was fantastic, it was a fantastic viewing experience and we really enjoyed it. From there we went to a winery for lunch (approx 2-3pm). Lunch was served with many other people, and it was a set menu of chicken. After lunch we had the wine tasting and a bit of time to explore the winery. Overall it was a great day and we really enjoyed it. Don't take too many things with you on the tour as you cannot leave things on the bus, so you'll have to carry everything around with you when you visit Montserrat or the winery.
