What To Expect
Banteay Srei
On this tour, we'll come and get you early in the morning around 8:00am. We'll then start the 25km or so drive out to Banteay Srei. This beautiful temple is made from pink sandstone and this gives it a really unique appearance. It's known as the Lady Temple because locals believe that the carvings are so fine that they could only have been carved by a woman. When we've finished at Banteay Srei, we'll stop for some lunch and then continue to Kbal Spean. Here, you can see the carvings in the river bed and explore the jungles a little. When we've finished, we'll head back to Siem Reap town stopping at the Landmine Museum along the way. We can also stop at the Butterfly Center if you wish.

5.00The tour was amazing, and the guide was willing to change around the itinerary as it was just my sister and me, and to depart earlier, which made it a memorable time for us. We requested to visit Banteay Srei 1st, which turned out to be the right call as it just opened and very few people were there. It was stunning and the carvings just beautiful. The Kbal Spean site was cool to see but requires a lot of hiking, and glad we did it 2nd as we were sweating and were exhausted afterwards. We then went to lunch on our own and then visited the Hero Rats instead of the landmine museum, which was also a great change as it was so interesting to see them in action, hear about their training, and got to hold one. Cuter than you think. Overall the tour guide and car driver were amazingly kind and made the trip memorable. I would highly recommend this tour.
