What To Expect
Lordi's Square
We’ll start at Lordi's Square, a lively spot named after the famous local band Lordi, known for winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006. We’ll also learn about the square’s connection to the Finnish epic Kalevala and its links to Finnish mythology.
Lumberjack's Candle Bridge
We walk by the river and see the Lumberjack's Candle Bridge, a symbol of Rovaniemi, known for its unique design and beautiful lighting.

5.00Nina was a great guide and helped me achieve my goal of feelings more grounded in Rovaniemi. We had a great route taking in a variety of aspects including history, natural settings and the famous architecture. I was so impressed by the public library. What a joy! We saw the two rivers and since the tour I have been back to learn more about the war time history at Arktikum and enjoyed the art gallery. Thanks Nina!

5.00This was a fantastic and very informative tour. The local guide, Nina, was welcoming and friendly, and she shared so many insights about culture, food, Rovaniemi architecture and the local way of life. I really enjoyed the stop at the library and the walk by the riverside. I am traveling alone and was so happy she could make a tour just for me. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.
