What To Expect
El Bruc
El Bruc, a small picturesque town located on the southern slope of the mountain, with a 10-minute stop to enjoy the panoramic views and the special morphology of its peaks. We will pass by the statue / monument dedicated to the "Timbaler" (hero of the resistance to Napoleon)
Santa Cecilia de Montserrat and Sean Scully Art Space
Convent / Monastery of the S. XI. Once we have crossed to the north slope we arrive at the small Romanesque style monastery where we will appreciate its magnificent architecture and there will be the possibility (walking 5 minutes) to appreciate the views of Sant Benet and all of the valley with the Pyrenees in the background.

4.00Our driver was excellent and attentive. i wish we were guided around monastery to get a better feel and more details about history of building and area. Driver picked us up on time. We had to add extra hour to our trip to cover ride up to the top and black madonna visit

5.00Our family had a wonderful time in Barcelona and during our half day tour of Monserrat. James was EXCELLENT! He picked us up at our hotel, stopped at a few places along the way so that we could take photos and told us a little history about the areas. In Monserrat, James explained to us where to go, made sure we had tickets to see the Black Madonna and helped us have an idea of how much time we needed. When we were ready to head back to Barcelona he had cold waters for us and even dropped us off at a McDonald's in the city (our teenagers' request) so they could check out the menu! He followed up with a text later that afternoon to make sure we were doing well and made it back to the hotel. We highly recommend James and are so thankful to him for helping us make some wonderful memories during the few days we spent in Spain!
