  Mehdi was our tour guide and an exceptional guide in all the things that matter for an outstanding tour. His number one priority was to make sure his clients had an experience that exceeded their expectations. Prior to the tour he provided an overview of what to expect from the tour. He checked to make sure the overview met our needs and indicated he was ready to make changes if requested. The second outstanding part of the tour was his incredible knowledge of the sites we visited and the history. He clearly was prepared and knowledgeable. The tour did involve some walking but he reserved transportation on a bus to make the hills easier to navigate. Lunch was incredible and he stayed to make sure the restaurants service was what we needed. Since there was no van at the second castle he knew short cuts to make the climb easier. The castles were amazing, the stops beyond the castles were beautiful and the history Mehdi provided make the day memorable. A tour that will exceed your expectations by a guide that is passionate about service and history.

• Exceptionally Good Sintra Guided Tour

  Our guided private tour of Sintra with Medi was the highlight of our visit to Portugal. Medi took the time to talk with us to find out what would make the day-long visit to Sintra special for us. Because the weather was so nice and the beach so beautiful, we asked to spend more time at Cabo de Roca. Medi adjusted the schedule to allow extra time at the beach, fit in visits to three palaces, and eat an excellent relaxed lunch. Having the ability to skip huge queues of people contributed greatly to our ability to enjoy our day and make the best use of our time. This guided tour is different from all of the dozens of others offered through Viator and other services. Medi owns his own tour business and is not just an employee of a large tour company. As a result, he works extra hard to provide a positive experience to his clients so that he can grow his business. Other things to note: Medi should be a teacher. He had a deep knowledge of and love for history that engaged us to want to learn more. He told us so many things we did not know about the origins of Portugal and Iberia, the Knights Templar, the Freemasons, and the Kings and Queens of Portugal. He tied the history of Portugal to Sintra so that we would understand the significance of the palaces that we were seeing. Medi is very patient and has an excellent sense of humor. He seemed to have many friends everywhere we went. His large electric Mercades was beautiful and brand new He was exceptionally well-organized and adept at scheduling and adjusting our many tours. He guided us to a cafe in Sintra for lunch where we had delicious Tapas. It was our first taste of excellent Portuguese food. Medi knew the staff, so they brought out an extra table for us so that we wouln’t have to wait. I highly recommend booking this tour. You will love it.

  Mehdi was the perfect guide, super knowledgeable, friendly, took the time to know us and ask for our interests so he could make the day more enjoyable. Beautiful places, so much history. He knows his ways, used shortcuts and explained all the details to us. Gave us tips on beautiful picture spots. Very good and safe driving, comfortable car. 100% recommended to take this experience and immerse yourself in some new culture. We definitely loved it.

  Amazing tour of Sintra and Pena Palace with Medhi ! Medhi started our tour by picking us up at our Lisbon Hotel and really engaged us with his knowledge of the history of Portugal, Lisbon and Sintra as we drove. He helped us time our entry to minimize waiting, extra walking between sites, and avoiding large groups (well worth the price of the tour). He went over and above to make sure we were happy.

  We booked a last minute tour of the Pena Palace with Medi and truly had a wonderful expérience. His knowledge and interest in the history and details of this magnificent Palace were contagious and made our tour so much more interesting. Medi worked with us with recommendations for other visits and dropped us off close to our next location just in time for us to make it before closing time. Truly personal service. Thank you Medi!!
