Explore Montserrat mountain on this private tour. We'll pick you up at your hotel or apartment in the city and take you to one of the most spectacular natural parks and spiritual spots in Catalonia and we'll enjoy a wine experience at an organic production winery. Head to Montserrat mountain in private transport to visit the virgin of Montserrat, which is about 50km/30mi from Barcelona, walk amongst the stunning and unique peaks, enjoy magnificent views, and visit the museum which boasts a huge collection of artistic masterpieces spanning from the 13th to 20th centuries.
After your cultural visit head to a local restaurant to have a delicious three course meal comprised of regional products. Then round out your day with a visit to a neighboring biodynamic winery. On your private winery tour you'll learn the tradition of making wine and cava and get to taste some most emblematic varietals. After the tour, we'll return to Barcelona and we'll drop you off at your hotel or apartment.

What To Expect
Abadia de Montserrat
We'll pick you up at 8:30am at your hotel or apartment in Barcelona and we'll head straight to Montserrat in private transport approximately an hour drive away. Once at the top, your guide will take you on a walking tour through the monastery explaining the geological formation of the mountain and the history of the virgin (Black Madonna). We'll visit the church where you can attend a mass and enjoy the beautiful interior design, and see the unique chapels accompanied by guide.
Montserrat Museum
You'll also have the opportunity to visit the museum which houses one the most incredible collections of art in Catalonia complete with sculptures, drawings, and paintings. Here, you'll see pieces from Picasso, Dali, Caravaggio, Monet, Sisley, Renoir, Rusiñol, Pisarro to name a few.

5.00We had a wonderful trip to Montserrat. The lunch that followed was delicious and the visit to the winery was unique and informative. It was also in a very idyllic setting. Our guide Carlos was informative, knowledgeable, and a good friendly guy. I'd recommend this trip and Carlos to anyone wanting a private tour.

5.00A great experience all around. Hernando picked us up at our hotel and we were on our way to Monserrat. He led us through the highlights then offered us a range of possibilities to explore from there. We chose the art museum and a short hike. The lunch afterwards was quite tasty and the winery was perfect as well. I was expecting only Cava but the winery offered a range of reds, whites, and rosés in addition to a fantastic Cava.

5.00Exceptional experience. This tour is already highly rated but it's beyond what you would expect. Above and beyond is what they provide. Our driver, Rafa, was conscientious and professional. Our guide Feliciano was so personable and witty and charming. He was a font of information about everything. This tour's highlight for us was the winery visit which was just about as close to heaven as one can get. We travelled through Spain for 3 weeks. This was one of the top highlights. We won't ever forget Feliciano or Rafa.

5.00We are so happy we booked this private all inclusive tour. Our guide was amazing. We happened to have him the evening before for another tour and he recommended to us to leave early for Monserrat. We arrived b4 all the tour buses and were able to be one of the first to see The Black Madonna and get pictures. We lit 2 candles for loved ones that passed, had breakfast and Catalan Cheese. The enjoyed an very filling Catalan lunch at a small unassuming restaurant and then enjoyed some very generous pours of wine tasting. Well worth the price of our tour. Would do it again. Guide even recommended a book Cathedral of the Sea - just finished reading it. Love.

5.00This was an incredibly luxurious and perfectly coupled tour of Montserrat and wine region near by A perfect trip away from Barcelona - traveled comfortably in a clean and new Mercedes van with premier service Also- the drive was not too long - which we appreciate We wanted a perfect private tour and were lucky to have had the best guide and driver as well as tour operator setting things up in the background They were both fun, professional end incredibly kind. Additionally they were so knowledgeable Thank you for an amazing top notch experience! If you’re looking for luxury, the best combo of nature, culture, religion and wine tasting, look no further :)

5.00Celebrated our 40th anniversary! I scheduled this tour through VIATOR, as I do not have any idea of tours in Barcelona. WE ARE GUIDES BARCELONA was the subcontractor for the excursion, with a timely hotel pickup by our Guide Feliciano. The tour was terrific; our guide was knowledgeable with an early (0830AM) pickup. We were able to skip most of the lines at Montserrat. His knowledge of the museum was helpful, as most would have skipped that portion on a selftour. Lunch was amazing, excellent food with a view. The private wine tasting, we met the owner... shipped a case of wine home! It was that good! You'll have to book to find both the amazing restaurant and winery. Back to our hotel, safe and sound! Ensure you book direct, ask for Feliciano Dominguez! Amazing time!

3.00Feliciano was a wonderful guide. I apologize if I miss spelled his name. He took us to Monserrat in the morning. Great recommendation to beat the crowd on a Sunday morning. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the area which was wonderful. After taking many beautiful pictures we heading to a restaurant in the Penedès area for lunch. After a delicious meal we headed to winery in the region to finish the afternoon. After the tasting and purchasing wine to be sent home to South Carolina we headed back to the hotel. I would recommend this tour long as you have Feliciano as a guide.
