What To Expect

We sail from the harbor, to the outer bay and to the open ocean, travelling about 10 miles over 3 hours. We can only take six passengers at time and sometimes customize the trip to your needs

What‘s Included

We only provide drinking water but a beautiful, unique experience is included.

Everyone wears a life jacket, cool inflatable ones

A beautiful day on the ocean that required almost no Dramamine. The sailboat is a lot of fun and Rich is a great guide. We did request whales, but none were available apparently :)

Rich is a super knowledgable sailor who is eager to share his sailing knowledge and experience (as well as lots of other entertaining stories). He allowed and encouraged my husband to steer the sailboat for parts of trip which made my husband really happy, He took us to see awesome wildlife up close including seals and sea lions. Overall, experience was fun and interesting. Would recommend!

What a fun trip! Captain Rich made this such a memorable trip! We were entertained the entire time. He was so knowledgeable about the entire area Unfortunately the wind didn’t cooperate but we still had a great trip. We were even lucky enough to see a whale!!! We will definitely book this again if we return to Bodega Bay. Highly recommend!

We had an incredible sailing experience in Bodega Bay with Captain Rich! From the moment we stepped on board, he made us feel welcome and at ease. His knowledge of the area, marine life, and sailing was impressive—and he shared it all in such an engaging and easygoing way. We spotted all kinds of marine life and took in the stunning scenery from the water—it was both relaxing and exciting. Captain Rich made the trip feel personal and fun, and you could tell he genuinely loves what he does. Highly recommend booking with him if you’re in the area. It was a highlight of our trip!

Sweet time sailing in the Bay and info the Ocean. Mother and Daughter birthday trip. We had the boat to ourselves. Windy as heck so we were glad, as recommended, to have brought some layers. The sealions and seabirds made the trip really interesting. And the captain.... he was quite the character. A fine raconteur for sure. Book with confidence. You'll have a terrific time.
Fun and adventure for these "old" ladies!

We were celebrating our 50th birthdays, and it was a party with Rich! He knew what he was doing, thankfully, because it was windy and we were keeling over quite a bit which was the adventure we wanted! What a great time, beautiful Bodega Bay and fun and informative and friendly Rich! Thank you, we'll be back during whale season!

Awesome! Can’t wait to go again! Rich is a great captain and incredibly knowledgeable! Wonderful with kiddos! This sail was exactly what we needed! Cruised through the bay, saw Sea Lions, Harbor Seals and more birds than I can remember the names for! What a kind and thoughtful Captain!

Rich was an excellent host on our Bodega Bay Sailing adventure! He communicated well throughout the process and was knowledgeable about the area. We enjoyed chatting with him and felt at ease as he captained the boat. We had beautiful weather for our early October cruise. We'd definitely recommend this excursion!

Thank you Rich for navigating less than ideal sailing winds and stomachs to make this first time sailing, somewhat impromptu trip a success! You saw to everyone’s entertainment, safety AND comfort through the trip and educated on what we were seeing and doing the entire trip. The ‘kids’ had so much fun! Thank you for letting me crawl out to the sit on the prow without laughing at me (I think?) it’s always been my favorite place on a boat! We look forward to discovering the other recommendations you made for ocean learning and enjoyed you and your Entropy (II) Thank you!
