What To Expect

Parque Arqueologico Cihuatan

From San Salvador we will move to Cihuatán which is considered one of the largest archaeological sites in El Salvador, with an area equivalent to about 3 square kilometers. The site is located near the Guazapa volcano, in an area delimited by the Acelhuate River and the Izcanal ravine. Cihuatán was an important site that would have dominated much of central and western El Salvador during the early postclassic period.

Our guide will take you to a wonderful destination, the best preserved colonial-style city in El Salvador. This tour can be a journey through time, guided of course by the stories told by its white walls and cobblestone streets. We will take a boat tour of the artificial lake "Suchitlan", which has been considered an important RAMSAR site. Within the city there is a wide variety of cafes, restaurants, craft stores and sites of cultural interest which will make you live an unforgettable experience.
