This is what I call a “Indiana Jones excursion”. An unforgettable, crazy half-day adventure where you will take on the trails of the Dominican countryside.
From our ranch in Macao, we traverse the remote farmlands of northern Punta Cana, passing palm trees and tobacco plantations with the Eastern Cordillera in the background.
Our first stop is at a picturesque ranch in the countryside for an introduction to local products such as cacao, coffee, tobacco and Mamajuana (a Dominican aphrodisiac elixir) and green tea leaves.
Back on the rocky terrain, amid panoramic views of endless farmland and distant mountains, our excursion takes us to a picturesque cave filled with a deep natural well. Skip; Cool off and wash in these refreshing underground waters.
The longest leg of our journey is also the biggest contrast. From the hidden cave in the field, we return on our muddy path, and something else, to the shores of the photogenic Macau beach.

There was no phone number provided in case we had questions . We were at the Ambar and were not told we had to go to the security gate. We thought from the photos and the reviews there would be more buggy tine . Instead it was start then stop for them to try to sell us the souvenirs … then again got going and had to stop for beach where we were surrounded by pan handlers … it was terrible . The brochure made it seem like we were going to drive in the cave but it was just a drop with yet more pan handlers . The crew was not very friendly or appeared to be organized . To say I am disappointed is an understatement.

I’m definitely coming back in a few months to come again, enjoyed my whole day there… staff were friendly because I couldn’t drive they gave me a driver how kind. I was alone on my trip but I completely enjoyed every single second of it. Pick up on time and everything was interesting. The cave is beautiful. Don’t forget mosquitoe repellent though!

We got a 4 seater razor and it was so much fun my 11yr had a blast! It started raining mid way and that's what got us more dirty with the mud. The stops at coffee tasting, cave, and beach were maybe a 10-15 stop each. Just an fyi, not complaining it was fun

A few of the Dune Buggies kept breaking down. I noticed a few from other companies were on the side of the road as well. Maybe some money needs to be put into a few new ones. Overall, it was a fun experience. Just wish some of my family and friends were able to stay with us during the entire tour.
