This is New Zealand’s premium buggy experience utilising the best machines, guides and terrain. Experience the thrill with the self-drive guided tours to conquer exhilarating terrain including steep mountain climbs, creek crossings and beautiful forest tracks and trail leading to stunning viewpoints over Queenstown. Just 5 minutes from Queenstown our exclusive adventure park is your perfect private playground.
You will be rewarded with endless fun, excitement and off road adrenalin rushes and some of the most spectacular and breath-taking views you could imagine.

Duration: Allow 1.5 hours in total duration with 60 minutes of solid off road action
Departures: Confirmed tours depart daily at 3pm. Please check-in 15 minutes before your departure time.
Check-in location: The Off Road Adventure Centre, 61A Shotover St in central Queenstown. Please check-in 10 minutes before your departure time. Transfers are included although you can self-drive to the site after completion of check-in.
We provide: Transport to and from our shop in central Queenstown, late model 4x4 machines, helmets, eye protection. Wet weather jacket/pants available if required.
We recommend: Wearing sensible clothing that you will be comfortable in & don’t mind getting dusty. Feel free to bring water, food, a camera and a bag with you.
Suitability/minimum age: Each driver must be 18 years of age or older with a full driving licence and speak good conversational level English for safety reasons. Minimum passenger age is 4 years old. Your driving licence MUST be produced at time of check-in.
Insurance excess bond required: Each driver will be required to sign a $3000 insurance excess agreement for the vehicle (against a credit card - Visa/Mastercard) at time of check-in, in case of damage.
Cancellation Policy
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Off Road Expeditions
Challenger Self Drive 4 Seater: Having acquired the necessary skills in our training area your guide will lead you on adrenalin packed, off road tracks and trails to stunning view points over Queenstown. You will get to test the full capabilities of this 4 seater machine in action and will be rewarded with endless fun, excitement and off road adrenalin rushes with some of the most spectacular views you could imagine. With over 35 years off road guiding experience and top of the range off road buggies you could not be in better hands. The only issue will be how to wipe the smile off your face at the end. Challenger Self Drive Family 4 Seater Special: Families can exclusively avail of our self-drive 4 seater Yamaha Wolverine X4 buggy for a great rate of $580 for the vehicle. We allow up to two fully licenced drivers per machine. This buggy is available and suitable for families (parent/s and kids between 4 and 16 years old)

5.00What an amazing experience!! Led by Stephan and Bas who really looked after our family of 7, this was simply epic.. We all had a fabulous time off-road in our buggies, getting dusty (which was a huge part of the fun!), but the views were amazing! Highly recommend!!

5.00I did the family in one atv tour. Our guide Stefan was cool and let us have some fun since we did them before. Really fun experience. Way better than the atv tour we did while in Alaska. The tour takes you up to a great view of queenstown on top of the hill/mojntain and then they take you down back to the starting point. If you are in queenstown this a definite must do.

5.00This was an incredible experience! We did this as a family (2 boys aged 12 and 10). The adrenaline started from the get go. You cannot miss this while holidaying in Queenstown. The guides were so helpful and really made the whole experience enjoyable! Would do this again in a heartbeat.
