Selvatura Park has a zip line tour commonly called Canopy Tour. Our zip line tour is the only one that is built 100% inside the cloud forest!
There are many bridge systems in the world, few of them are suspension bridge systems, let alone those located within an authentic cloud forest. The suspension bridges of Selvatura Park offer the best way to safely admire the canopy of the cloud forest.

Canopy Tour: In this tour, visitors will cross through the unique canopy of the cloud forest suspended through a high-capacity cable and using the best mountaineering implements which combined will generate an experience difficult to forget. This tour not only combines the excitement of one of the safest and most sought-after adventures in Costa Rica, you also offer the amazing perspective of the cloud forest canopy, a perspective that could only be appreciated by some scientists until recently. Hanging Bridges: The tour of the suspension bridges consists of 3.06 kilometers of trails in which our visitors will find eight bridges of different sizes, which range between 50 and 170 meters in length. Each bridge has a width of 1.50 meters and a capacity of up to 80 people per bridge which makes the bridges Selvatura Park pendants not only in the largest suspension bridge system, but also in the toughest in Costa Rica.

Fun time with 4 adults (2 couples). You zip line for approximately 2 hours. The duration of the trip is 5 hours for transportation, the zip line, and the unguided hanging bridges after the zip line. For 4 young adults it took us approximately 1 hour to walk the hanging bridges (including to stop and take photos). We were able to see a large spider and a howler monkey during the hanging bridges walk. A lot of the zip lines are pretty short, the first one was short and a nice ease into it if you are a newbie. There are a couple longer ones that you go tandem (smaller person in the front, heavier person in the back with their legs wrapped around the small person) which is fun! There were children in our group and when it came time to the tandem riding one child would ride with one parent. If there was more children than adults then one of the zip line guides would ride tandem with the children or the adult would zip down and then zip back again to pick up the 2nd child. There are lockers inside for 2$ (American) to place your belongings in while you do a zip line. You must wear close toed shoes and if you have long hair it needs to be tied up. If you have a small fanny pack that you can strap tightly to yourself you can bring that! We were lucky with a nice sunny day for our zip line. They still operate even if it is raining. I don’t think it would have been as fun if it rained as you wouldn’t be able to see the beautiful views! There is a restaurant on site and a souvenir/photo shop. The reasons I am giving 4 stars and not 5 is because the transportation only comes every hour or so. So if you finish and transportation has just left you have to wait another hour until you get driven back to your accommodations (unless you drove yourself there, our transportation was included). I did not catch the name of our shuttle driver but he was super safe and got us there punctually! The other reason is that despite the fact our group felt safe, there does not seem to be enough workers. One staff is “catching” or “breaking” the incoming zipliner and then sending the next person out on the next zip line before they disconnect the one who just came in. We had no safety issues in our group but I could see that being an issue if staff were not diligent. There is a “Tarzan” swing before the last zip line that is included. However, the maximum weight limit is 200lbs so not all participants can join. As well, I inquired about zip line weight limit. The max weight is around 250lbs for the zip. We had 2 large grown men in our group over 200lbs and there was absolutely no problem with the zip lines for them. There is a minimum weight requirement unfortunately I do not recall what it was. However, we had small children in our group ranging from around 5-9 and they also had no problems at all. In addition the last zip line you can go in the “superman” position on your belly which is an extra fee. Otherwise you just sit normally for all of the zips. Special shoutout to Jose, a super fun and engaging zip guide staff! I would recommend this zip tour to adults and kids! (Also, it was not listed in the description but the company name for this zip tour is Selvatura Park)

This was so much fun! We did have to wait quiet a bit in between cables due to the big group that was there but the experience was enjoyable! The crew super nice as well.

We visited Selvatura after having already been to Curi-Cancha and Cloud Rainforest. We enjoyed the walk through Selvatura more than the other two. Our guide, Jainner, was great and spoke excellent English. The zip lines were a lot of fun and offered a great aerial view of the forest. The last zip line is 1km long!

The zipline was a great experience with fantastic views, excellent safety, and friendly guides. The bridge walks revealed more wildlife than we'd seen when hiking in the Cloud Forest Preserve. While the butterfly enclosure was not in the best condition, the butterfly guided tour was very informative. Overall we were very pleased and had a great day! (Note: This tour "operator" merely facilitates the booking. Allergies are provided directly by Selvatura Park.)

It was a brilliant experience- we all had a wonderful day and the guides were extremely professional. Three star rating is due to the crippling cost for a family of four.

Amazing well organised tour. 13 zip lines, longest 1km and a Tarzan swing for those under 90kg. Flying above the canopy was breathtaking and no time to get nervous. Hanging bridges special too...allowed you time to soak everything in at your own pace.
