The Original Canopy Tour offers Canopy Tour, Rappel, climbing a Hollow tree, Tarzan Swing, and an exhilarating opportunity to soar through the treetops high above the forest floor on the adventure of a lifetime. Here you will view the jungle life from a perspective previously reserved for a selected group of researchers and photographers. Everything was designed for your fun but always preserving the forest.

What To Expect
Your tour begins in the primary, old growth forest and moves you to the recent growth of the secondary forest, offering a unique view of cloud forest in its various life stages. As you fly by, listen closely for the variety of birds that can be seen and heard throughout our private preserve. Become one with the canopy as you get your blood pumping with a 150 ft drop down to the forest floor by rappel. And just when you think the adventure has ended, you will experience a unique ladder system leads you back up through the hollow of an enormous tree, returning you once again to the excitement of this wondrous forest.

5.00This is a must do on the cloud forest. Whole experience is top notch end to end. Guides (Frey, Daniel ) were super friendly and knowledgeable and equipment was very up to date. They accommodated my 10 yr old who was a bit hesitant and put him to ease. He loved it.

5.00Awesome experience for all ages. We had a family of four with different fitness level and age group starting 21 through 55. We did all the activities and everything was super fun. The staff were very courteous and friendly and very knowledgeable. Instructions were given at every step of the way and repeated again and again. I found the Company very safety oriented. Highly recommend.

5.00My husband and I did the Original Canopy Tour Monteverde Zipline yesterday, and it turned out to be a really great experience. I am afraid of heights and was very hesitant to do this at all, but I decided to try it anyway, and I am glad I did. The staff were very professional and made safety clearly their top priority. They explained everything well and helped me feel comfortable the whole time. The ziplining starts with shorter lines and then gradually gets longer, which really helped me build confidence as we went along. The Tarzan swing was pretty scary for me and not my favorite part, but I know some people would love it. My favorite part was the rappel down to the forest floor and then climbing back up through the inside of a ficus tree. That was a really unique experience and ended up being fun even though I was nervous. Overall, everything was great. It was well organized, felt very safe, and ended up being a lot more enjoyable than I expected, especially considering my fear of heights. I would definitely recommend it.

5.00We had Daniel and Edwin as our guides. They explained everything so well, made sure safety measures were followed and had fun with us along the way. The zip lines were fast, long and exciting. Climbing up inside the tree and the rope ladder at the top were an added bonus and the Tarzan swing was a huge adrenaline rush for all who did it! We saw a toucan, wild boar and coati while we were hiking. Great company and wonderful experience!

5.00The zip lining was amazing. David, the main guide was excellent, as were the other guides. Safety was top priority and they made sure we knew what was going to happen throughout the activities. Our kids (10&13y) were scared at some points (Tarzan swing and rappel) but they calmly reassured them and didn’t put any pressure on them to do the optional activities. Kids loved the ziplines.

5.00We went into this adventure not expecting all the extra activities that go along with ziplining. It was so. Much. Fun. Beyond our expectations. The crew were fantastic and we always felt safe and secure. The variations in activity were an excellent addition. The zips were long and we had time to enjoy the views (on the long ones). The Tarzan swing got our adrenaline pumping and off we went t! The hollow tree was really cool. Weather was perfect which helped. Highly recommend this company. We would do it again if we were here longer.

5.00My husband and I just did the canopy tour-which includes the Tarzan swing, the tree climbing/rappelling as well as the zip lining. Our guides, Edwin, Daniel & Liam were all very informative and encouraging. I have a fear of heights, but from the get go, they were reassuring in every activity, letting us know what to expect in advance. I’m proud to say we did all the activities offered and felt safe throughout. Daniel took some amazing photos of us all! Highly recommend this tour company as the guides and the experience is unmatched! If you’re nervous, I would definitely encourage you to keep an open mind and try everything!
