The Original Canopy Tour offers Canopy Tour, Rappel, climbing a Hollow tree, Tarzan Swing, and an exhilarating opportunity to soar through the treetops high above the forest floor on the adventure of a lifetime. Here you will view the jungle life from a perspective previously reserved for a selected group of researchers and photographers. Everything was designed for your fun but always preserving the forest.

What To Expect
Your tour begins in the primary, old growth forest and moves you to the recent growth of the secondary forest, offering a unique view of cloud forest in its various life stages. As you fly by, listen closely for the variety of birds that can be seen and heard throughout our private preserve. Become one with the canopy as you get your blood pumping with a 150 ft drop down to the forest floor by rappel. And just when you think the adventure has ended, you will experience a unique ladder system leads you back up through the hollow of an enormous tree, returning you once again to the excitement of this wondrous forest.

5.00Incredible activity in the Monteverde cloud forest! The guides are very professional and we often feel safe. The course consists of the famous Tarzan jump and 10 zip lines. As a bonus, halfway along the route, we are rappelled and have the opportunity to climb a ladder that is inside a tree. We enjoyed it very much.

5.00We booked a group zip lining tour and when the other group didn’t show up, it felt like a private tour! The free fall Tarzan swing was first and boy was it cool!! Fry and Keiver were awesome! We had a very clear day and the views were incredible! My poor husband got stuck on one of the longer zip lines but Keiver came to a quick rescue, lol! This tour is totally worth it!

4.00Required endurance climbing up to the first zipline and other spots. I was not prepared for that climbing. It would be nice to have a water station or two, since we could not take any bottles with us.

4.00I liked that they had a variety of activities besides the zip lines—Tarzan swing, rappel (assisted, not solo), and ladder climb were all fun. Being up in the canopy was quite amazing. Our guides were professional, courteous, and always safety conscious. But I sensed that they had done this so many times that it was becoming routine for them, and because of that there wasn’t a lot of energy in their interactions with us. I understand that doing this multiple times a day, day in and day out, can lose the freshness. But from this tourist’s point of view, it’s the interactions, humor, and banter that are almost as important as the activity itself.

5.00Visited with my wife and kids (7 and 9) from Canada. We had zip lined a few times before this trip. We had a hard time choosing which zip line to do as there are many options. Our hotel front desk recommended this one. I am glad we listened to the advice! We all had a really great time! The guides were awesome and took great care of my two kids. The course was beautiful and exhilarating. This is the original zip lining course in Costa Rica, so it’s cool to know the others are based off of this company. It’s nice that the Tarzan and climbing up the inside of the fig tree are included. All others places that have this, will charge you extra. Highly recommend
