We had an absolute blast on the Rioja Wine Tour with Alby! Highly recommend the tour and the guide! We spent the day visiting 3 completely different wineries in the region and loved them all! There’s just so much history there- the staff at the wineries were so kind and full of information and passion for their work. We didn’t want to leave! We came to the region as strangers and left as friends- Alby played a huge roll in that. He is clearly “part of the family” at these wineries which ensures his clients have top notch, behind the scenes experiences- and we did! Alby provided great recommendations for other things to do, food to eat, restaurants to eat at, and wine to taste as well. He was authentic and his love for the region and being a tour guide shows. We loved every minute! Cannot recommend this tour and Alby enough!

We were very happy with the speed and efficiency of the booking process and our guide picked us up as arranged Alby was a great tour guide - very informative about the wine region and the different wineries and a fun companion for the day. We enjoyed meeting him and chatting The two guides at the wineries we visited were very knowledgeable and the wine was delicious Lunch at LaGuardia was fantastic

Know that it takes about 2 hours each way San Sebastian - La Rioja. Wine portions at the wineries were more than I've ever had on any wine tour elsewhere in the world! Snacks were substantial portions of local foods. Lunch in La Guardia was regional food at a small restaurant on their terrace. All the food and wine was great. Our driver, Diego, was a nice local guy who readily answered all questions about Spain, Basque culture, and the area. We toured in October so it was great to see the harvest process.

We loved spending the day with Eider touring 2 wineries of the Rioja region. She was friendly, funny, and caring, all while getting us to where we needed to be safely. She clearly knows her stuff and has great relationships with the local folks which pretty much ensures you will learn a lot and be warmly welcomed wherever you go. You can’t go wrong with Eider as your guide!!

Book it!! Javier was the BEST guide! And Rioja was by far the most gorgeous wine country we’ve ever been to. We learned so much at both wineries, from Javier en route and left with a case of wine. Total success!

Great wine great tour And our guide Albi (Albo) was a ledge. I learned so much from him that we otherwise would never have found out.

A great way to experience Rioja! Eider was an excellent operator, provided information about the area, showed us a traditional winery, an off the beaten path winery, lunch in a beautiful setting and taught us some of the Basque language. A highlight of our time in San Sebastián!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Rioja wine region. We visited two wineries - Bodegas Luis Canas and Tritium. These offered good contrasts, the former a larger scale operation, with the latter offering a more boutique experience. But both were very interesting and enjoyable with excellent hosts at each who explained the history of the wineries and treated us to a selection of excellent wines. After the two wineries we enjoyed lunch at a restaurant in a lovely setting in the beautiful medieval town of Laguardia. Our driver and tour guide Josean picked us up at our hotel and was excellent company and looked after us very well, explaining a lot of Basque history and culture to us. Importantly, he was also a very safe driver! Overall, a great day out.
