What To Expect

Get ready for this exciting adventure on Dominica! You will be picked up in Roseau and go for a 10-minute drive to our basecamp. Here you will fit your gear and learn how to rappel on our training wall. After this you will drive for 15 minutes to the canyon where the excitement starts. You will be rappelling from waterfalls, jump into pools and explore the canyon with our canyoning leaders. After exiting the canyon you will hike for about 15 minutes back to the vehicle and return to our basecamp. Thing to know: • No prior training, rappel experience or swimming skills required • Minimum age 6 and weight 45lbs/20kg • The canyoning tour takes about 4 hours • Canyoning is weather dependent and may be cancelled last minute Things to Bring: • Swimwear, towel and closed footwear • Waterproof camera or rent from us

Super tour. Water is a bit cold but the experience is fantastic. You swim is a canyon that been there for thousand of year. finally at the end of that corridor fou finally see the magic. Yes its worth it.

This adventure was recommended to us by friends who did it too and it did not disappoint! We are a family of 4 with B (12yo) and G (9yo). Everyone agreed that this was the best day of adventuring in all of the Caribbean. The staff and guides are top notch, energetic, friendly, encouraging, knowledgeable, and highly professional.

What an amazing, scary, wonderful, memorable day! The company operates very professionally, equipping you with great gear and then giving you a some training on their base as well as a little pep talk if needed ;-D Then, you're accompanied by a group of very skilled guides into the actual canyon, in which they have played as children - and that shows. While we were all respectful, to say the least, of the canyon, they knew every nook and cranny and were even able to walk up waterfalls??!!! They knew how to guide us inside the canyon safely, as well as keep up a good mood and be constantly encouraging and reassuring if someone started to feel hesitant. Even though I was one of the scared ones in the group, I'd return in a heartbeat and do it all over again. Thank you! I will say, they do appreciate when you book through them locally instead of through bigger tour operators & cruise companies, so please help them out and do that when you can!

The spot and landscape were heavenly beautiful and we enjoyed every second of it with our super fun and patient guides. For those of you who are a bit scared of higher jumps like I was, there’s always the possibility to rappel down the rocks so you can just go your own pace on these ones and jump only and whenever you feel like it : ) WOP WOP! :D

My husband and I did the Titou Gorge canyoning trip on our last trip to Dominica. It was our first time canyoning and it did not disappoint. Extreme Dominica is a great company with wonderful people. Our guides were super fun but also very solicitous of safety. The canyon is beautiful and jumping and rappelling down the cascades and waterfalls is the best way to experience it all. The water gets a bit cold but they provide wetsuits and a small group ensures you keep moving through the canyon at a good pace. Very fun and unique experience if you find yourself in Dominica.

We had a blast! My wife and I are pretty active and go rock-climbing quite a bit. We went with my father-in-law too who is rather active. But this experience is also for those who don’t have any rock-climbing or canyoneering experience. The guides all secure you with another rope from the top so you are never truly at risk of falling while you rappel. The guides themselves were super friendly, professional, and fun. There are some areas where you are required to jump to pools below but none of the jumps were much higher than 20 ft so it feels pretty safe still. The canyon was beautiful, lush, green, but the water does get somewhat cold by the time you are done, even being in full wet suits. Still, highly, highly recommend.

An amazing experience with amazing guides and host. My wife and I do a lot of these adventure type activities and this was by far one of the more extreme, particularly rappelling Trafalgar Falls. We are experienced at rappelling (have done so in water falls before) but by no means experts. The upper section of the canyon is more conducive to beginners. The guides appropriately gauged our competence before letting us participate in the lower section of the canyon. So much fun!!!

What a wonderful outing descending the magical gorges of Dominica with Jason and Birani. They were both professional and friendly. We felt totally secure canyoning with our 2 boys aged 9 and 11. It was the kid’s first canyoning experience and they were relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed it. The guides fun attitude and passion for the canyon is infectious. Thank you for helping us make some fantastic memories. Can’t wait to come back!

We really enjoyed the canyoning trip with the guys from Extreme Dominica. They are all totally set up and helpful. You are professionally introduced and accompanied safely. The guys are absolutely serious and still make you feel good all the time. Highly recommended!
