Explore Bonaire with us! This tour visits both the North and the South sides, so by the end you will have a better impression of the island. Your local guide will take you to several places like Goto Lake, 1000 Steps, the beautiful colors of the salt flats and salt mountains, slave huts and much more. Take beautiful pictures of Bonaire's wild animals like flamingos, goats, iguanas and donkeys.
We make photo stops and talk about what you see.
There is room to ask questions anyway.

Kralendijk
After cruise pick up, we will drive through the capital of Bonaire, Kralendijk, towards the North side. We will visit some of the island's most famous landmarks.
Of course we will make some extra stops when we spot flamingos. Best is to stay silent otherwise we might scare them away

4.00The tour operator/stand was disorganized. The pinned location was not accurate. Then, they told us they were going to start an hour later. We were told to go shop while they waited for more people. Thankfully, the actual tour guide was fantastic. She really knew a lot about the island as a long time resident. She explained how the island was run with government, business, and local neighborhoods. She showed us the north and south, local wildlife, and answered all of our questions.

1.00Van was very small and crowded, had 2 people decided not to go it would have been miserable! The guide was very hard to understand. He pointed out every Chinese restaurant and grocery store we passed. We started with the north side and stopped several places (1000 steps, the overlook for the flamingos, grocery store, the overlook at the top of the mountain) we drove by a few other areas of interest ( the place where the wives and children of the slaves working in the salt fields lived and the flamingos) we only did 2 of the south side items( the salt fields and the slave houses). We started the tour at 3:45 and returned to the port at 7:15pm (after dark) there were no bathroom breaks there was a portapotty at the 2 of the stops but that was it. This was advertised as a whole island 3 hour tour.

We were unable to do the excursion because they overpacked it and then were not will to refund nor willing to at least refund the difference in what the other people paid. Just book it at port for much cheaper! Upset we did not get to experience this when we paid double the price!

4.00Too Many adults in a small Van. There were seven (7), large adults in the tour. The driver tried to get three (3) adults in the back seat but ended up putting two (2) in the back and two (2) in the front with the driver. The Van would have been fine if everyone was a child. It reminded me of a "CLOWN CAR" when we made stops to get in and out. The driver had to push one of the larger ladies, from her rear, to get her into the Van. The tour covered all that was advertised, and at least the Van had good AC. I would recommend the Tour but expect a crowded vehicle unless the Tour Company make the group size smaller of get a BIGGER Bus/Van.
