What To Expect
Discover Singapore’s award-winning food treasure hunt that brings Chinatown’s history and flavours to life. This is a self-guided experience where you explore with your team, following clues sent via WhatsApp. There is no tour guide and no fixed group. You go at your own pace. Solve riddles using your surroundings to uncover seven heritage food stops. You’ll enjoy six included tastings along the way, including a traditional breakfast bite, local delicacy tasters, a bakery treat, a hawker-style dish, dessert, and a traditional drink. You’ll also receive a surprise souvenir gift at the end. Whether you’re with friends, on a date, or exploring as a family, this is a fun, flexible, and flavour-packed way to experience Chinatown through food, stories, and discovery. All groups are private, so you’ll only be exploring with the people you booked with.

5.00We discovered Chinatown like never before with Singapore’s first interactive food maze gourmaze You can call this a unique "escape room" or "food hunt". Solve clues on WhatsApp, uncover heritage stories, and enjoy tasty treats along the way. The vegetarian-friendly (Express route) is perfect for families, friends, or team bonding who want a more compact version of the game. All food included in the ticket price. The Express route should take around 2 hours, though we took a bit longer with some breaks in between (You can pause the timer at each stops). Remember to check and choose what works for your diet at each stop. Our little team leader, my son, guided us through the maze and he really enjoyed it and found the experience very fulfilling. Don’t forget hats or an umbrella as there’s plenty of outdoor walking and exploration!

5.00We did this in 2 groups of 4 and had a great time! It was fun to compete against the other team, and bump into them at certain stops. The instructions and clues were great - not too easy and not too hard. The clues came via WhatsApp and it was buggy at a certain point. Thankfully we had a number to WhatsApp to and that Gourmaze person was very quick to respond and helpful. The stop points included some delicious food and really friendly stall holders. You can chat to them to find out more about the history of their stall etc (not related to the game and only if you were curious). It was a hot day when we did it so that made it tough, but we still really enjoyed the combination of culinary, historical and cultural experiences. Highly recommend! What a fun, interactive and memorable way to explore Chinatown.

5.00I think this must be the first "tour" I did in my country! :) And I was pleasantly surprised by the new things I learnt from this food adventure! Highly recommended as a date, with friends, or team bonding! And definitely wear comfy shoes! We took over 4 hours cos the weather was good and breezy that day, so it was really nice for strolling! And we had lots of food too! Work ittt before claiming our "rewards" :)

5.00Was such a fun experience! We got to see lots of sites and taste lots of different foods. We did it as a group of friends and loved that we could take our time and stop and look at attractions etc along the way. Easy to follow instructions and help if needed.

5.00Whether you’re new to SG or a true blue local, getting to know the heritage & culture of Chinatown SG thru a scavenger hunt plus food tastings in air-conditioned comfort is a sure-win way to pass the time. This DIY walk (6k steps or more) takes 2-3 hours depending on how long you linger at each stop or photo shoot selfies & interesting street shots along the way. After a hot, sweaty meander through the five districts of Chinatown, i recommend the toilet break at Tea Chapter - one of the cleanest toilets in SG! This tour starts near Maxwell MRT station & ends near Outram MRT station.

5.00I LOVE discovering new ways to discover and explore countries I'm visiting or live in. This tour was such a unique experience, you can take it at your own pace or try to make it to the leaderboard which was really fun. I hope they do more locations around the island because there is such good food here would love to find more!

5.00This was SO MUCH FUN. Seriously - it’s educational, fun & you get to eat!!! Basically nourishing your tummies and brains 😍 I highly recommend you get the earliest slot so that you have time to do an activity that’s only avail before 12pm. I’m not going to spoil it for you because that’s all the fun, but take your time to slowly enjoy the day & sights! It doesn’t matter if you’re living or visiting Singapore as a tourist - it’s perfect for anyone who is in Singapore 🥰 Sharing some of the beautiful sights & scenes you will get to enjoy while on this food hunt tour - remember to look up and around!
