Informative and hands on experience led by friendly and knowledgeable chef. We enjoyed our coffee and walkthrough at the market as well as techniques for making several Asian dishes, including dessert. We appreciate your help, Colin and will be sure to stir fry garlic the right way from now on!

An interesting trip to the home kitchen. Even for “beginners” absolutely recommended and hungry nobody has to leave the course! Highly recommended.

This is one of the best experiences we had in singapore! Not only we get to learn how to cook singaporean dishes, but we also get to learn about the culture and history! Colin is such a great tour guide, very insightful and fun!! Would definitely recommend to everyone! (Even to SEA communities!)

We were a group of cousins and this cooking class and market tour was our favorite thing of our trip. Wonderful cook/ tour leader and very interesting history of Singapore explained. Great food and many dishes! Well worth the time spent!

Absolutely loved my experience! Colin was a gracious and knowledgeable host and chef. I learned a lot about a cuisine that I don't have much experience cooking and definitely feel like I could try it again at home. The tour of the market was interesting and I learned about ingredients that I would never have known about as they aren't common in my local shops. Would highly recommend.

I think our leader,Vivian, did the best she could with what she had to work with, but the market experience was underwhelming and quite disappointing. Many vendors not open and mostly an elderly neighborhood. While the specific vendors we stopped at for a chat were engaging, most of the market was quiet and unengaging. So the market experience was definitely not satisfactory. Vivian was enthusiastic and a good teacher but the food prep and cooking took way too long. I think she tried to plan the perfect meal and it ended up taking too long for my friend and me. And while it was interesting learning how to prep and cook, the end result was rather bland and didn’t have a lot of taste. The food prep and cooking areas were in the back room of a bicycle tour shop so didn’t lend itself to a special environment for this experience. Stools were in short supply so after standing for an hour and a half prepping and cooking, I was pretty exhausted. I appreciate Vivian’s efforts and sincerity in trying to provide a meaningful experience. She just didn’t have enough to work with in terms of the market and culinary environments.

Had a great class, the market tour is amazing and you get a real insight on life in Singapore. Did lots of hands on cooking, can’t wait to try the recipes at home

We had a great time on this experience. The wet market tour was close by and informative. The cooking was a bit rushed (because another couple was too slow....) but it was also informative and fun. Now we have copies of the recipes and the understanding and practical experience to make them at home. Super flavourful. Definitely worth doing if you're interested in this type of cooking.
