Scenery are spectacular! Yeso dam, chocolate house, even the route to get there. Celebration at the end was fantastic. Suggestion: tour should have a driver and a guide; it was dificult for driver to do both. Also time picking up passengers took around one hour; one hour less to sleep, we were second for pickup and next to last for drop off ( two blocks away from my hotel)

This full day excursion was absolutely fantastic and highly recommended. From the on time pick up to late afternoon drop off, we were delighted with running and interesting commentary by our tour guide and driver Diego. The bus was comfortable and the journey for the day included scenery highlights of the Andean mountains and reservoirs, two river valleys, country towns and villages and stops for lunch and a picnic along the way. Excellent value for money and a great way to see the country side within a couple of hours of Santiago.

Diego was very good with commentary in two languages but did not go overboard. He drove well and looked after us. Breakfast place was overpriced and limited so make sure you have some provisions with you for the stop. Lunch stop was excellent with a good variety of food for purchase. The picnic was back at the breakfast place but here they did a good job with nice wine and simple food. Maybe a bit too close to just having lunch though. The dam and walk was fantastic with great weather making a huge difference, I thought I’d made a mistake in shorts with all other passengers wearing jeans but when we got there I was the only one who wasn’t sorry about attire. The major downside was the earlier than scheduled pick up before 6.30am and 17 passengers more than the tour suggests which meant it took an hour picking everyone up and another hour dropping everyone off at the tour end. All in all, very enjoyable.

Pick up was on time. On the bus the guide who was also the driver went over our itinery which was nothing like what we signed up for including an extra 2 hours total. Nearly all on the bus were irritated. The NEW tour included breakfast stop at a hut, dogs begging for your food and very expensive. Several stops later had a lunch stop for 1 hr 10 min which also was not on our itinerary. The restaurant was beautiful, and the food was delicious, cooked to order and not expensive. Then to mountain, lake and back to the breakfast location for "picnic". Not at the lake. Wine was good. Guide/driver spoke little English (this was an English tour) and gave no commentary. Well it was cheap, saw the mountains and lake but a lot of time was wasted and 10 hours was ridiculous.
