At 8:30 am, we will start this exciting adventure to the famous town Zocalo's town.
To start the day with the best energy, we will enjoy a DELICIOUS BREAKFAST.
Then, we will pass through the PEÑOL VILLAGE, where we will visit its FAMOUS REPLICA, with spectacular views of the dam.
WAIT! THE BEST IS YET TO COME! The imposing PEÑOL ROCK challenges us with its more than 700 steps. Do you dare to climb and enjoy a 360º panoramic view? The reward is worth it!
After a TYPICAL LUNCH, we will take an EXCLUSIVE LUXURY BOAT TRIP for your group along the resevoir, where you can witness the islands emerging from the water and behold the stunning landscapes and properties of the area.
Then, we will visit the town of Guatapé where your guide will show you, the ICONIC UMBRELLA' STREET, ZÓCALOS SQUARE, MEMORY STREET AND ITS MAIN PARK so then you can explore it on your own.
Finally, we will stop at the LLAMAS farm to interact with them!

We will meet at the agreed time with the guide at Parque del Poblado where our adventure will begin to the famous Zocalo's town: Guatapé!
Penol
Next we will pass through the town of Nuevo Peñol, whose urban center was built as a consequence of the relocation of the inhabitants of Viejo Peñol, when the construction of the Guatapé dam became effective. As we drive along its main street we will observe the emblematic sculpture of the Phoenix Bird, symbol of the rebirth of the community, and a colorful mural in honor of the tomato growers, key figures in the economy and culture of the region."

Great tour overall , terrible communciation from the tour operator

5.00All went smooth as described , tour guides oscar and hernan were friendly and good , itinerary was on schedule 100% no delays. Enough time at each stop. Breakfast was okay , lunch's size was dissapointing but it is as described. My only suggestion for the tour operator is improving communication , we had requested hotel pickup , days before the tour we were ghosted up to 8 pm the day before the tour. This was unnecessary uncertainty, when you have limited time in the city every second counts. I spent a lot of time worrying and trying to contact the tour operator via instagram, viator and whatsapp So if you need 100% certainty i would book another tour. If you are flexible and can afford to reschedule, this one will do just fine , but at that point you might as well pay a bit more to have your itinerary secure.

5.00All the positives mentioned yes. A few things to improve: 1) no communication about pickup detail until I reached Gigi tour myself; they never replied message on Viator. 2) bus is not air conditioned and can be windy; and a full bus can be quite crammed. Must praise the tour guide Philip who speaks super good English and organized well.

5.00It was my second visit to Guatapé. I really enjoyed the experience with Gigi Tours. The time I spent visiting the sites was different than my first visit (with another company), and I really enjoyed the Peñol because it wasn't as crowded. Hernán was our tour operator, very friendly, and I really liked that he didn't play silly games, sing, or get to know each other bs. However, he did tell us very useful and important information about the history of the sites and fun facts. The bathroom stop/ visit to the llamas was wonderful! The food was also good, considering the price. Overall, a good experience.
