At 8:30 am, we will start this exciting adventure to the famous town Zocalo's town.
To start the day with the best energy, we will enjoy a DELICIOUS BREAKFAST.
Then, we will pass through the PEÑOL VILLAGE, where we will visit its FAMOUS REPLICA, with spectacular views of the dam.
WAIT! THE BEST IS YET TO COME! The imposing PEÑOL ROCK challenges us with its more than 700 steps. Do you dare to climb and enjoy a 360º panoramic view? The reward is worth it!
After a TYPICAL LUNCH, we will take an EXCLUSIVE LUXURY BOAT TRIP for your group along the resevoir, where you can witness the islands emerging from the water and behold the stunning landscapes and properties of the area.
Then, we will visit the town of Guatapé where your guide will show you, the ICONIC UMBRELLA' STREET, ZÓCALOS SQUARE, MEMORY STREET AND ITS MAIN PARK so then you can explore it on your own.
Finally, we will stop at the LLAMAS farm to interact with them!

What To Expect
Medellin
We will meet at the agreed time with the guide at Parque del Poblado where our adventure will begin to the famous Zocalo's town: Guatapé!
Penol
Next we will pass through the town of Nuevo Peñol, whose urban center was built as a consequence of the relocation of the inhabitants of Viejo Peñol, when the construction of the Guatapé dam became effective. As we drive along its main street we will observe the emblematic sculpture of the Phoenix Bird, symbol of the rebirth of the community, and a colorful mural in honor of the tomato growers, key figures in the economy and culture of the region."

5.00Just did the Guatapé tour from Medellín with my family and it was amazing! 🌄💦 Climbing El Peñol Rock was tough but the views were totally worth it. Taking the tour from Medellín was honestly one of the best parts of my trip to Colombia. The day started early with a comfortable drive through the countryside, lush hills, small towns, and beautiful views all around. It was a perfect mix of adventure, culture, and chill time. If you’re in Medellín, I’d 100% recommend doing this tour. Our tour guide Carlos is very nice, we were comfortable around him. His English is fluent for you to understand. We had a good time, there’s such a warm, friendly vibe. We had time to walk around, take pictures, try some local food, and just soak it all in. The boat ride were amazing which was relaxing and offered a different view of the landscape. Overall, it was a perfect mix of adventure, culture, and enjoyable experience. If you’re in Medellín, 100% recommend doing this tour.

2.00The tour is honestly disappointing and very different from what is promised here. They promise to pick you up at the hotel but the day before send you a message with a meeting point which is the same for everyone. The group is not small at all, it is a tour with 4 or 5 different buses, each with aprox 40 people. The luxury boat has nothing luxurious about it, it is a comfort but regular boat. Food is ok but not great. The guide’s lack of organisation was the worst part - when we arrived no one knew in which bus we should go and they didn’t have our names (even though we paid and confirmed everything days before), they kept changing people’s places on the bus to the point where no one knew where to seat, they even left 2 tourists behind in one of the stops. The tour was only worth it because of the beautiful views in Guatape. But everything else was disappointing.

5.00Violeta & Mariana were both excelente. They were genuine & warm towards the whole group. When Violeta learned that it was my Birthday she went out of her way & decided to sing me happy birthday with the group & even bought me a small cake before the tour ended because she said no birthday was complete without a cake. I was never expecting that & it made the whole experience that much better. I’d recommend to anyone. Do it!
