Our tour offers a thrilling and immersive winter experience right outside of Fairbanks. Unlike typical sightseeing, you'll actively explore Alaska’s pristine backcountry by snowmobile, guided by a local expert who will first teach you how to safely operate your machine. Then, you're off to ride through a breathtaking winter wonderland—crossing frozen rivers and lakes, weaving through snow-covered trails, and taking in the stunning mountain scenery around the Chena Lakes Recreation Area near North Pole, Alaska. It's an unforgettable adventure you won't find anywhere else.

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Safety briefing, gear check & helmet fittings will be conducted before each tour. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to ensure there's enough time to get properly outfitted & ready to ride.
Drivers must be at least 18 years old & hold a valid driver’s license (international licenses are accepted). Individuals aged 7 to 17 may ride as a passenger only.
Driving time will be 60 minutes (1 full hour).
Children aged 6 years-old or younger, will not be permitted on the tour.
Tours are subject to change due to unsafe temperatures or lack of snow.
Cancellation Policy
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
What To Expect
Experience the Magic of Alaska by Snowmachine! Embark on an unforgettable snowmobile adventure through Alaska’s stunning winter landscape. Ride across frozen lakes and rivers, navigate scenic mountain trails, and explore the vast, untouched wilderness of the Chena Lakes Recreation Area. Along the way, you may catch glimpses of local wildlife, including moose, foxes, and snowshoe hares. After your exhilarating journey through Alaska’s backcountry, relax and warm up with complimentary hot chocolate, tea, coffee, and snacks. Important Information: *Please arrive on time for your tour. *Clothing is not provided – come dressed appropriately for the weather. We recommend Alaska Element for affordable clothing rentals. *Double rider bookings must be made in pairs of two. If your group has an odd number, one person must book as a single rider and pay the price difference.

5.00We had a really fun time doing snow mobiling with friends. It is an excellent experience. The entire staff, Kathy who led the experience and the support staff who helped us with equipment were excellent and really friendly! The staff was super accommodating and really took care of us from making sure we were warm, had our pictures taken and were safe during the experience. We were also provided with additional warm clothing. They also gave us drinks later. I would highly recommend them for the snow mobile experience !

5.00I had an amazing snowmobile experience and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The service was excellent from start to finish — the staff were friendly, patient, and always willing to help, which made me feel comfortable even as a beginner. Riding across the frozen lake was unforgettable; the feeling of gliding over solid ice with the crisp winter air around me was both thrilling and peaceful. The views were stunning, with wide-open landscapes and snow-covered trees that looked like something out of a postcard. It was a perfect mix of adventure and scenery. Truly a great experience overall!
