Korean alcohol is a lot more than just a green bottle of soju, which is diluted ethanol with artificial sweetener. Broadly, Korean alcohols are divided into Tak-ju (unfiltered rice wine), Cheong-ju (filtered clear rice wine) and So-ju (distilled spirit). Here, we will focus on our specialty, soju, but we can also taste other types too.
Samhae soju was a beloved choice of spirit among the noble class of Joseon dynasty(1392~1894). This luxurious alcohol had caused cult following, but the making was so resource(rice)-heavy that production had to stop during famines. The current master, Hyeonjong Kim had learned and practiced for more than 10 years under master Taeksang Kim who had inherited and kept the recipe in the family. Sadly, master Taeksang Kim passed away in 2021. We will have a privilege to taste the history.

- Learn about fun stories related to the distillery and Korean alcohols - Be inside a distillery not open to public. - Taste at least 7 different types of Korean alcohols made by a master distiller. - For spirit lovers. Our premium soju is 45% or above (90 proof or above). - Have a good time with other fellow tasters(up to 14 people in a group).

5.00I had a great time..Sam was the perfect host. The distillery tour was very interesting and the tasting part was a highlight. It was informal and fun, it was like we were all just hanging out. I would recommend this to anyone curious about soju.

5.00The soju tasting was a great experience thanks to Sam! Our family felt Sam's English was very easy to understand. It was clear he was very knowledgeable on the history of soju and is heavily involved in the brewing process at this location. We appreciated the wide variety of tastes varying in alcohol strength. Another positive is that you're able to buy bottles of soju to take with at the end if you'd like, but there wasn't any sales pressure. Highly recommend Sam and this soju tasting while visiting Seoul!

Expert knowledge and amazing Soju produced by them (Three Pigs) As a Soju lover this really opened my field of vision to beyond the typical green bottles.
