Just north of Phoenix, enjoy an approximate 45-minute hot air balloon ride over the Sonoran Desert. Once you arrive, watch as your balloon inflate. After your flight, relax with a champagne breakfast served on picnic tables with linens. Rides are shared with up to 20 travelers on board. This activity does take up to 4 hours.

What To Expect

Begin your adventure by meeting your crew just north of Phoenix about 30 minutes before sunrise for this 4-hour experience. Take a short van ride to the launch area for this scenic flight. After you arrive, experience the inflation of the balloon by motorized fans as it grows to an enormous 11 stories tall. Once the envelope is filled with air, the propane burners are ignited to heat the air inside. It takes about thirty minutes before you are ready for flight. Join your pilot in the hand-crafted, oversized wicker basket with plenty of room for everyone to enjoy an approximate 45-minute ride. As you takeoff, admire how light the balloon feels. During the flight, you have an unobstructed view to take excellent photographs. Upon landing you are greeted with flutes of champagne and breakfast. First-time riders will be treated to the legendary ceremony that balloonists all over the world have been sharing for more than two centuries.

Great balloon ride. We had not done before so was not sure what to expect. The pilot and crew were awesome. Kept us informed throughout the process from meet point to take off spot to balloon inflation, boarding etc Watching the balloon inflate as the sun rose over the hills was beautiful. Take off, flight and landing were very smooth. The views were great - we just wish it had lasted a little longer After the flight the Champagne Breakfast was as fun before heading back to where we left our cars Highly recommend

The sunrise air balloon tour was spectacular. Well organized and always felt the pilot and crew are very knowledgeable and wasn’t nervous at all. Seeing the balloon laid out and blown up was really amazing. The pilot explained everything while we were in the air and the information was so interesting. Beautiful experience and the mimosas and breakfast at the end was the icing on the cake! Highly recommend!!

My experience was great since this was my first time in a hot air balloon. The weather was perfect for a smooth landing. The crew and captain were nice and accommodating, which made the experience even better. The overall experience was great, I'm glad I did it. If you don't mind having a large group (approximately 15) in the hot air balloon basket, you should be fine.

What an amazing experience! You meet at a specific location and then shuttle you over to the dessert where they are going to launch the balloon. You actually get to watch the sun begin to rise as they are literally setting up the entire balloon which you get to see before you go up in the air. We got a time lapse video of the setup as well. When you see all the work, effort and time that goes in to the set up and the tear down plus the flight the numbers make sense. It is not really unreasonable per person when you see this. As for the flight it was so serene! You just glide over the dessert and what an incredible experience it is for all. After the flight we had a champagne breakfast in the dessert before we headed back. I took my kids and it was one of our highlights on the trip. Highly recommended!! Great crew of people and it shows!!!

Today I had the pleasure of riding the largest hot air balloon in Phoenix, Arizona—and it was absolutely amazing from start to finish! Everyone was on time, and before we knew it, we were at the launch site watching the setup and then soaring into the sky. The flight itself was breathtaking—smooth, peaceful, and filled with incredible views of the desert landscape. Our pilot, Scott, and his crew were outstanding—professional, friendly, and made the entire experience fun and memorable. We ended with an A+ landing followed by a lovely breakfast complete with mimosas. It was the perfect way to wrap up an unforgettable morning. Highly recommend—this is a must-do experience in Phoenix!

Excellent ride and great information. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Would wear appropriate clothing, because it is cooler than some people believed. Breakfast was good. The whole adventure took over 4 hours.
