See a whole new side of Moraine Lake—peaceful, uncrowded, and lit by the beauty of sunset and the stars. This evening adventure takes you beyond the typical daytime experience, combining stunning landscapes, wildlife viewing, and one of the best stargazing spots in Banff National Park.

Your journey begins along the Bow Valley Parkway, with chances of spotting wildlife, and a stop at Morant’s Curve. Take a guided walk along the lakeshore trail and soak in the quiet beauty of the lake as the surrounding peaks glow in warm sunset colors. Then, we’ll make our way up to the rockpile for the best panoramic views as the sky transitions from day to night.

With minimal light pollution, Moraine Lake offers incredible stargazing. We’ll use telescopes and binoculars to get a closer look at planets, constellations, and even the northern lights if conditions are right.

If you want to escape the crowds and enjoy Moraine Lake in a way most visitors never do, this tour is for you.

(日本語訳は下記をご覧ください) We joined their Sunset and Stargazing Tour at Moraine Lake and it was just stunning. Laura our tour guide was so knowledgeable and took such great care of all of us. She was well prepared with tripods for us to use to take night shots, blankets, head lamps and even phone chargers. She even had a polaroid camera and gave us all a photo overlooking the lake. On our drive up, she educated us on wildlife, history of the surrounding area and recommended other sites for us to visit in Banff. Unfortunately the clouds made it difficult for us to see too many stars so Laura went above and beyond and took us to Lake Louise to get a better view of the starry night. Seeing as we had not gone to Lake Louise, this was such a nice surprise. Would definitely recommend this tour to both adults and children. Even my teenagers loved it.

Our guide Tobias was excellent and really wanted everyone to be comfortable. The tour plan is good, but it all depends on the weather. We had a little rain to dampen our trip, and the clouds didn't allow much star-gazing, but seeing Lake Morraine was a treat. There isn't much walking; just a lot of steps to get up to the lake. Overall, our experience was a little dampened, but Tobias helped us make the best of it.

The sunset/stargazing tour at Moraine Lake was, by far, my favorite tour in Banff national park. Seeing beautiful Banff in the evening, minus the crowds, was such an amazing experience. Laura, our guide, was absolutely phenomenal. She kept the group engaged and entertained, and she strives to share her love of the Banff wilderness with others. She also taught us a very effective Moose call.....:)

Tobias was such a great guide! Our kid absolutely loved him and I think they even bonded a bit. Even though the weather didn’t cooperate with us, we had an incredible time and Tobias was well educated and lots of fun. Also, Moraine Lake is truly something to see! You get that perfect photo of the colorful canoes during this experience.
