See a whole new side of Moraine Lake—peaceful, uncrowded, and lit by the beauty of sunset and the stars. This evening adventure takes you beyond the typical daytime experience, combining stunning landscapes, wildlife viewing, and one of the best stargazing spots in Banff National Park.
Your journey begins along the Bow Valley Parkway, with chances of spotting wildlife, and a stop at Morant’s Curve. Take a guided walk along the lakeshore trail and soak in the quiet beauty of the lake as the surrounding peaks glow in warm sunset colors. Then, we’ll make our way up to the rockpile for the best panoramic views as the sky transitions from day to night.
With minimal light pollution, Moraine Lake offers incredible stargazing. We’ll use telescopes and binoculars to get a closer look at planets, constellations, and even the northern lights if conditions are right.
If you want to escape the crowds and enjoy Moraine Lake in a way most visitors never do, this tour is for you.

This was an absolute magical experience. Seeing the sunset gave the lakes and mountains amazing colors. We were blessed with a clear night and saw many stars and were able to photograph the Milky Way. Tobias was an excellent tour guide, extremely knowledgeable about the area, history and shared lots of information. He clearly has experience and was very attentive to needs of everyone. Hot beverages, blankets, headlights were all nice touches.

OMG!! Incredible experience!!! Tobias kept the 11 of us throughly entertained with knowledge and great stories. Taylor made me feel safe climbing up the “ rock pile”( actually stone stairs), Had hiking sticks to use. Unforgettable experience. Very well organized. Showed me how to capture the Milky Way, had several tripods. Taylor was very patient and kind. Moraine Lake at dusk all tourist gone for day, the best.

First I would like to say that this was truly a way to start a trip. Laura was amazing!! She was very knowledgeable about Banff, wildlife and the overall trip itself. She was really the star of the trip with her animal calls, keeping everyone engaged and making sure we were able to get the most out of the experience. 1000/10 would do this tour again just because of how well it went with her. Also the stars DID NOT disappoint. We didn’t get a northern lights experience but we did get a first class ticket to a star showcase. Just book this tour there aren’t enough words to express how much you’ll love it.
