Just minutes away from the noise of Las Ramblas and the crowded coastline of Barceloneta, an expert local guide will take you through the trendiest district in Barcelona, El Born, where you will be able to admire the greatness of Santa Maria del Mar (icon of Catalan gothic architecture), and will learn about Catalonia’s recent past at Centre Cultural del Born, home also to the best conserved Roman archaeological site in the city. After visiting the Born District, you will enjoy an intimate flamenco show surrounded by the Baroque atmosphere of Dalmases Palace, a hidden treasure from the 17th Century and once the meeting place of an aristocratic society of scholars. A Gourmet Pintxos and Tapas Buffet Dinner with a drink and dessert included will be the perfect closing for the perfect evening at one of the best pintxos restaurants in Barcelona. Pintxos (which means "toothpicks" or "small skewers", depending on who you ask) are a Basque culinary tradition that has extended to Barcelona and is the art of making delicatessen small bites which can become the sole component of a wonderful dinner.

Our two young guides, Bosco and Mirco, were so lovely, funny, kind and attentive. Not to mention very knowledgeable and informative. We loved the walking tour of the old town. The tapas in two different restaurants were really tasty and filling. The flamenco show was very original and entertaining

The dancers were amazing. The seating was not too good. You couldn’t see the dancers well or their feet.

Awful. Couldn't see their feet. Very unfit dancers. We were extremely bored and we left early. Don't do it.

We thought we had a small group tapas, drinks and flamenco tour. We are seniors. We ended up with a walking tour with a large group. We couldn't keep up. There was a long distance between each Tapa place. The Flamenco was an amature performance. The guide left us before the flamenco performance and we walked a mile in the wrong direction to find a Taxi. We are all seniors. It was dangerous at one point when we almost lost one of our family members.

Overall, getting both a tapa tour and a flamenco show for the price seemed a decent value. But I am having a hard time not comparing it to a similar Pintxo tour we did in San Sebastian, which was a markedly better experience. While I really personally liked our guide, Zhong Yi, and thought she was a sweet person and enthusiastic guide, it was not comparable to having a more senior guide in San Sebastian, who was a native to the city and knew the city and its history intimately well, as well as all of the bar owners and chefs. I felt that the historical aspects we were taught on the Barcelona tour were the few simple facts you could pick up rather easily from your travel guide or Wikipedia. Also felt like the tapas were decent, but not particularly memorable. On our San Sebastian tour, the guide weaved in and out the bars we visited with intimate familiarity. The food on that tour was fantastic, and very memorable, which was just not the case on our Barcelona tour. It felt As for the flamenco show, I studied in Spain during my college years and visited it several times. I’ve been to several flamenco shows. I sort of felt like we were getting the “B” team at the Palacio Dalmes. The guitarist was quite good, but the dancers seemed disproportionately dramatic to their paired dancing skills. Others in my group commented how it would be really great if the venue gave some kind of explanation about the songs or dances being performed. Since it was pretty much only tourists in the venue, I don’t think this is a huge ask.
