This ride is designed for anyone who knows how to ride a bike but may be new to off-road trails or electric bikes. Starting from Maui Meadows, we gently climb the lower slopes of Haleakalā through a scenic private ranch. After 10 years of riding e-mountain bikes and owning five EMBs in my collection, I can say—with zero hesitation—that this was one of the greatest rides I’ve ever done. For anyone who thinks Maui is only about beaches and sunshine, this tour will completely change your perspective. Coming from a BC kid who spends most mornings riding the trails at SFU, I can confidently say this adventure holds its own against some of the best riding back home. The views are unbelievable, the terrain is perfect, and the experience is accessible to everyone—not just seasoned riders. Donnie absolutely “talks the talk,” and you’ll be fully entertained the entire time with his stories, knowledge, and humour. 5.00Wow, what a cool experience, riding a mtn bike on the flanks of Haleakalā, with incredible ocean views and in a totally unique mountain landscape! I’ve been coming to Maui for years but never experienced anything like it. It checked all the boxes for me, some good climbs, fun descents and mind blowing views made for good quality time with the family. My wife’s not a biker but Frankie took good care of her with excellent coaching and encouragement and the full suspension e-bikes did the trick. I cannot wait to come back next year for another tour.

He made our small group feel comfortable and confident. The views were incredible and the landscape unlike anything I’d seen in Maui! Highly recommend this tour.

5.00This tour was unforgettable, and I highly recommend it to anybody visiting Maui who wants to see unique parts of the island. There was a wide variety of trails and incredible ocean views. The landscape on this ranch is surreal; we escaped the resort scene and experienced the wild side of Maui. The ride took about 3 hours, and it was just my family of six in a private group. The tour guides provided excellent service, great vibes, and they looked after the beginners in our group to ensure everyone stayed safe.

5.00This was such a cool experience! I don’t have much mountain biking experience and I’d never been on an e-bike before. Honestly, I thought the bike would just kind of take off and do most of the work for me, lol. Not quite. The pedal assist helped a ton — there’s no way I could’ve done this on a regular mountain bike — but it was still definitely a workout. I consider myself moderately fit, but most of my movement is walking and a couple weightlifting classes a week. I am not a cardio person, and there were a few stretches where my heart was really going. But wow… it was so worth it. The view from the top is unreal, and because it’s on private property, this tour is literally the only way to see it. Honestly one of the top three things to do on Maui. I did the Grand Tour, which was the more challenging ride. They also offer a beginner tour if you want something easier, but still awesome. I love that they have options so anyone can enjoy this. Franck was an amazing guide — patient, kind, encouraging, and very safety-focused. I would absolutely do this again!

5.00My son and I had an absolute blast e biking on Maui with Donnie! We got to see a side of Maui we would have never otherwise encountered and it was a super fun way to connect with my teenage son. The equipment was top notch and Donnie and his team ensured that we had all the protective gear, water, snacks and even coffee! Can’t wait to do it again!

5.00One of a kind experience! I was born and raised on Maui and have never been able to explore the areas that I got to on this tour. Having never ridden an e mountain bike before I was a little nervous about riding one for the first time. However, the guide was a great teacher and I felt really comfortable after their initial instruction. Highly recommend for both visitors and locals alike!

5.00I joined The Experience Tour as a total beginner – I had never done any mountain biking before – and it was definitely challenging for me, but absolutely worth it. Franck was an excellent guide: calm, encouraging, and very clear in his explanations. He took the time to show us how to use the e-bike properly (changing gears, adjusting the assistance, using the dropper seat) and checked in regularly to make sure everyone felt safe. The climbs were physically demanding at times, especially while I was still learning to control the bike, but I always felt supported and never rushed. The views were stunning, with beautiful panoramas over Kihei, La Perouse and Molokini, and the mix of lava fields, ocean and open landscapes made the effort really rewarding. The bikes were in great condition, very responsive and fun to ride, and the overall group atmosphere was super positive. If you are a beginner, be ready for a real workout and some focus to handle the e-bike on the uphills and downhills – but if you’re willing to be challenged a bit, this is an amazing way to discover Maui.
