Meet at the harbour of Thessaloniki and then head to an old bakery - a hidden gem that stands for three generations, for the first stop. Sample some typical Greek breakfast pastries and snacks and then head to the open market of the town. Through little streets and alleys full of history, you'll arrive at the "Kapani" (open from Monday to Saturday) a vibrant, colourful and historic place. Once you'll finish strolling the market, taste some very original street food and have the chance to hear some interesting stories from your guide. 5.00Our guide was Pantelis and we simply could not have asked for more. He was friendly and welcoming and he brought the city to life with his knowledge of the past and present, both of Thessaloniki and of Greece itself. The food was delicious and we visited places we would never have known. He tailored all the information to our individual interests and clearly has a broad general knowledge of history , politics, architecture and social norms . He also gave us tips on where to go for meals etc near to where we were staying . We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would highly recommend it . Beverley

5.00When you are in Thessaloniki, you simply must take the street food to her with Sophia. She is a fabulous host. Who knows everything about the Thessaloniki. Most importantly, she knows where to get the best bougatsa, koulouri, and trigano! At the end of the tour we had a traditional meal of souvlaki and gyro! Thank you, Sofia -

5.00Our tour was very good. Our guide, Sophia, was smart, fun and very knowledgable about the region. The route was mostly flat but there was a fair amount of walking involved. Some of the streets were cobblestone and therefore, uneven so caution was taken. All in all, it was a great experience.

5.00A must do in Thessaloniki. The hours my daughter and I spent were memorable. Ms. Anastasia was very generous in explaining whatever we asked about and we had a good amount of knowledge about the city, it's history and traditions. She has a very nice character. The places we went to and the food we had were very enjoyable!! We became to know and tried several new things and greek traditions.
