1.00Four of us were excited to have this Thessaloniki Walking tour and it was a beautiful day to do it, but the guide did NOT show up! We were at the front of the white tower @ 1950 for our 18:00 tour time. Nobody who looked like a guide was there. I started calling/texting the tour company but no answer. The rest of our group went around the tower to see if someone looking like a guide was there. We went inside the tower and asked but they did not know either. There was NOT any prior communication as to how the guide would look like either. Fortunately, Trip Advisor refunded us the full amount but we lost precious time. I would advise anyone taking this tour to contact the tour company ahead of time and/or ask TA to contact the company for you to ensure your time does not get wasted.

3.00I got the impression that the guide was filling in last minute. She was late arriving and was dressed in black not white as we had been told. There were only 6 of us but she walked very fast, mainly talking to the young man in the group. She read the main facts from a sheet without extra anecdotes.

1.00We walked the half hour distance from the cruise ship to their starting point. After a half hour waiting, we gave up and left. We booked this excursion 6 months in advance. We later found out they canceled on us the day before the walk. No call to let us know, only an email we didn’t receive on the cruise ship. Since there were no taxis available at the dock, this would not be recommended even if everything else went perfectly.

5.00Eva was in touch before the trip to finalise details. She met us at the agreed place at the right time. Eva was passionate and well informed about all details of the tour. She made sure the travellers were able to hear her, and took care with where she stood to minimise rain (and sun). A well planned itinerary, delivered with confidence and care,
